I’m probably one of the easiest people to shop for. If you know me, you know how much I love coffee. I love coffee mugs, shirts with coffee quotes, and coffee gadgets. The first word I want to hear in the morning is, “coffee.” I’m also pretty sure there are many people just like me when it comes to the excitement for coffee. How many times did I just say, “coffee?”
I’m rather a coffee snob. I won’t waste one sip on a “crappy” or “weak” cup of coffee. That first cup is the most important cup of the day and I’ll do whatever it takes to get it.
When I found out about the KitchenAid coffee gadgets, I instantly got excited and starting making a Christmas list…for myself. Also, the best part about getting gifts for the ones close to you in life is that you get to use them too. I’m actually thinking about having my boyfriend build me a coffee shelf that will store all kinds of different coffee makers and mugs.
Let’s see what KitchenAid has on the coffee block!
First, we have the fabulous Pour Over Coffee Brewer.
The reason I love this maker is because I cannot stand a diluted cup of coffee. I remember the first time I witnessed someone reusing the grounds in the drip coffee maker…yikes. Most of us have regular drip coffee makers in the kitchen for our morning supply. The only problem with them is that they have a continuous stream of water, but not a continuous stream of coffee grounds. Some cups end up being weaker than others, and I better not be the one who ends up with the diluted cup…
The pour over coffee maker allows the grounds to “bloom” by pouring the grounds at a perfect rate with some pauses to allow the coffee to steepen it’s flavor.
They’re no harder to run, clean, or operate than your ordinary drip coffee maker. You can set it up to run at the touch of a button!
Perfect for your everyday coffee lovers.
Next is the Siphon Brew! This one has my full attention…
I love how unique this one is and the process that happens to make a delicious cup of coffee. “The science and complex flavor of siphon brewing comes from vapor pressure pushing the water up through the siphon tube. Then, vacuum suction and gravity draw the coffee down through the grounds.”
I can’t imagine how velvet-y and smooth this cup of coffee would be. I mean, how cool would it be to show off one of these on the counter around the holidays? I’ve never seen anything like it!
I’m highly contemplating on snagging this machine for my brother.
Perfect for your artsy and creative coffee drinker.
So this one is my dream. The Burr Grinder is a must and I just want this all for myself. This machine has 15 grinder settings…which makes a huge difference. This would be great for creating ground espresso for my machine. The grinder uses stainless steal burrs to grind the beans and stores up to seven ounces of them. I love making homemade lattes for my friends and these would put any coffee shop to shame.
This is the perfect coffee gadget for coffee lovers who already have the perfect coffee maker or espresso machine. I think the Burr Grinder would be a great addition to all the other KitchenAid coffee gadgets!
Perfect for your coffee lover who already has it all.
The Precision Press Coffee Maker is one of the best ones on the list. It’s affordable, easy to use, and the most portable. If you like bold coffee or French Press coffee, this one needs to be on your list.
My French press maker comes with an old fashioned sand timer. This one has an integrated timer and scale that makes it so much easier to monitor. It doesn’t get cooler than that.
It’s also small so perfect for dorm rooms, offices, little kitchens, or camping trips.
Perfect for coffee lovers on the go.

3. Other than egg nog lattes Mmmmm… my non treat favourite would be a Soy Latte. With a little Cinnamon 😉

I love my french press. It’s nothing fancy, but it makes coffee so good!
Lol, working at a coffee shop will do that to ya! My first job was at a coffee shop in high school. BUT YOURE RIGHT! Much worse things!

Oh.my.gosh. These are so cool! I did put some coffee gadgets on my wishlist too. The press coffee maker looks awesome. I do own a French press but it’s a 12 cupper, and it just seems silly to use it for 1-2 cups of coffee.
Taralynn McNitt says
Yes! I just downsized my french press! BUT not I want the one with a built in timer!
Heather @ Polyglot Jot says
yay i love coffee too! thanks for sharing!
i have a keurig now which i like because i can buy the strong grounds. in my opinion the single serve keurig i have tends to brew more concentrated strong coffee than some drip machines ive had. i aso love french press coffee.
Taralynn McNitt says
The Kuerig is awesome! I haven’t used mine in so long though! I go through phases. I do like that you can have strong coffee with the keurig.

My parents actually just brought me a coffee machine as an early Christmas present because they know that I am currently buried under in deadlines before I break up for the holidays. It has come in super handy, especially as it is controlled by an app so gets brewing before I’ve made it out of bed!
Taralynn McNitt says
Awwww those parents deserve an award! ….controlled by an app? say way?…

My favorite coffee gadget is an aerolatte – seriously the best thing ever, love making myself homemade foamy drinks!I think a quality coffee bean/ground is the key to getting a good cup of coffee though!
Taralynn McNitt says
Homemade foamy drinks are the best!!

1. My Keurig that I got for my birthday this year. I know they have a bad rep for being wasteful, but other than that they are a great invention and you can make so many different types of drinks in them. I really want a Keurig cold but for as little as I would make myself cocktails at home and the price it wouldn’t be worth the extra money and counter space.
2. I didn’t really start drinking coffee until I was in graduate school. There was a little cafe in the building next to where my office on campus was and one my friends/fellow grad students would go over there at least once a week if we didn’t bring our own coffee in.
3. My favorite coffee drinks are of course, PSLs and Peppermint mochas when they are in season. The rest of the year I like white chocolate mochas with a shot of raspberry, or cold blended drinks in the summer.
Taralynn McNitt says
They don’t have to be wasteful. You can use a reusable kcup 🙂 I’ve never seen the cold Keurig!
It all starts in college 😉 Our campus didn’t even have a coffee shop/ place to get coffee! But I also lived right next to it and my mom worked here so I could go to her office. Coffee got me through my first two years of school in Iowa.
YES! Love the seasonal drinks. I’ve never had a white chocolate mocha and it sounds amazing!

1. Milk frother! It allows me to make amazing lattes at home!
2. First started drinking coffee in college. Was doing so many things I just had to get up and start the day with a cup. Back then I had a basic 12 cup coffee maker but it did the trick!
3. Love a good latte! I have them with different sweeteners as a treat (gingerbread latte anyone?)but day to day with unsweetened vanilla almond milk and sometimes a little bit of honey.
Taralynn McNitt says
1. YES!!! YUM!!
2. Thats when it begins for most!! lol
3. Me too 🙂 That sounds amazing!
Tori says
1. I would have to say my blender (weird response, I know). I use it to blend my coffee and creamer together and it makes it frothy like a latte. I currently have a coffee frother on my christmas list.
2. I didn’t get into coffee until I started college. Once I started I used it to fuel my day and it helped me on light night study sessions. Now I drink a cup a day with my breakfast.
3. I do enjoy the fancy coffee drinks if I’m out and about. But typically I’ll just brew coffee and add a flavored creamer to it.
Taralynn McNitt says
That is actually a fantastic idea. You blend it while it’s hot?
Most people get into coffee during school! & yes, COFFEE before ANYTHING! CBA!
Same here! xo
Tori says
Yup blend it while it’s hot. Makes the perfect amount of froth. I just add the coffee and creamer. Or some days I’ll do cashew/almond milk with a little bit of stevia and just blend a little bit. You should def try it out. Let me know how it goes 🙂 Merry Christmas!
