Yes, I am still on my clean eating plan. This is a post from a couple of weekends ago. I am just not getting the chance to post it. While I was in Charleston, I decided to take advantage of a pizza night with my mom and dad. Fleischmann’s Pizza Crust Yeast, reached out to me and asked if I’d like to try some of their yeast. I said of course because I love trying new recipes, especially when it’s pizza we’re working with! Â I brought the yeast and the pizza essentials they provided me to Charleston for a pizza night!
We used to always have pizza on Friday nights and I bet a lot of families do. There is something so comforting about pizza and it’s pretty hard to mess up! Did you know that 93% of American’s eat pizza at least once a month? I didn’t know that either, thanks Google!
Some things about Fleischmann’s Pizza Crust Yeast:
- It’s easy to make great tasting homemade pizza
- No rise time – just make and bake
- Specially formulated to make it easy to roll or press out dough with no snapback
- Make your crust any way you want it – thick, thin, whole wheat – endless possibilities
- Not recommended for bread baking
- Available in strips of three packets (0.75 oz.)
- Gluten-Free
We decided to go with the whole wheat pizza crust paired with a sausage vegetable pizza and a Hawaiian pizza.
Here are the ingredients for the Whole Wheat Pizza Crust! Instead of using any of the all-purpose flour, I used 100% all whole wheat flour. That is why my crust is a tad darker than theirs. Plus, I cook mine until it’s crisp.
Here is the sauce recipe we used!Â
I loved the how to make pizza card they gave me! It was very helpful. If you click on the image you can make it larger so you can see the directions! Print it out too!

The pizza turned out incredible and I was very  happy with the yeast’s performance!
The Hawaiian pizza had pineapple, onion, and Canadian bacon.
The pineapple pizza was my favorite and this recipe is definitely getting put in the top pizza crust category!
The sausage vegetable pizza had peppers, onions, and cooked sausage.
I made salad to go with the pizzas!
Here is the recipe for my homemade dressing!
HOMEMADE BALSAMIC SALAD DRESSING:
You can make the dressing in small amounts too. In this cup, I have 1/4 cup olive oil, 1/8 cup Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, 3 tablespoons honey, 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder, pink of sea salt, 1 teaspoon of italian seasonings
Umm, can I come over for dinner?? Haha It looks delish! By the way, I nominated you for a fun Versatile Blogger Award! 🙂 Check it out on my blog: http://thehoneyblondelife.com/2015/02/06/nominated-the-versatile-blogger-award
Blessings, Beth
I dislike pineapple on my pizza–I’ve always preferred the smell and taste of vegetarian pizza with the classic mushrooms and green peppers.
Speaking of pizza crust…would you come up with a recipe for a cheese-STUFFED pizza crust?!
Looks delicious! Pizza is definitely eaten once a month in my house– but it’s gluten free/grain free pizza! Still delicious 🙂
I love pizza and as a mom of 4 (4, 3, 1.5 and newborn) I am SO sad that none of them like it. I include the newborn because anytime I eat pizza, after I feed her she is super fussy. There could be worse things…they could refuse to eat anything but pizza.
Pizza is eaten far too often in my house. My favorite is the margherita pizza, and my boyfriend loves black olives on his!! Your pizzas turned out looking delicious, can’t wait to try some myself!
Nice! This looks delicious! I usually just use the walmart kind, but this seems a lot healthier!
I made your salad dressing, Tara! It was sooo good and my fiance loved it as well (and he’s a strictly full fat ranch kind of guy). I did one thing different. I didn’t have any honey in the house, so I used a half packet of stevia instead. Worked perfectly!
Thanks!! I add stevia sometimes instead of honey too!
I’ve started making my own salad dressing thanks to you, Taralynn! I love Renee’s cucumber and dill, but when I’m in the mood for balsamic I started making one very close to your recipe. Super yummy and quick! Thank you for your inspiration. 🙂
