As I was walking towards the check out at Whole Foods yesterday, these little snacks caught my eye. I love fruit leather, but most have added sugar. I was intrigued by the vegetables included. I’ve never seen something like that before.Of course I had to give them a try! I couldn’t decide on the flavor, so I grabbed them all. Typical me.
These are gluten free, fat free, no sugar added, organic and vegan!
When I flipped over to read the back, I was nothing but pleased.
The first one I opened was the beets with: cinnamon, apple, flax seeds and sweet potato.
Such an interesting combination. I didn’t hate the taste, but I didn’t fall in love. I am not a fan of beets, but I didn’t have trouble finishing it.
The nutrition facts really grabbed my heart. Most fruit leathers are over 60 calories for a little slice.
This one had: 15 calories, 0 g fat, 5 g carbs 1 g fiber and only 2 g sugar.
I’m not sure if I can ask for anything more. The ingredients are all whole organic produce: beets, sweet potatoes, fax seed, cinnamon and apples.
Berries with: spinach, sweet potato and apple was next on the list!
I really liked this flavor! You can’t taste the spinach for all you spinach haters out there.

Carrots with: apple and ginger!
This one was surprisingly good. It inspired me to start using more ginger in my recipes. The spicy flavor was different, but a good different.
This one had a lot of flavor for only having three ingredients.
