It was a chilly one yesterday, but that didn’t keep me from bundling up and going outside for a workout. There is a field that I usually run to and do some field workouts. It’s in the middle of the woods and kind of creepy but I love it. I did about an hour of sprints, squats, burpees lunges, and ab workouts. At the end of the workout my coat, gloves, hat, and scarf were off and I was sweating.
After running a mile back to my apartment, I made a protein shake. It was made up of protein powder, frozen strawberries, water, ice, kale, spinach, and stevia.
After I worked out, I figured it was Mr. Grumples turn. I took him on a 4 mile walk and then let him run around a little bit at the park.
Later that night, I headed over to a friends house for some wine and a girls night. She got a new puppy named Denver and he just melt my heart!
This weekend I’m going to Charleston for nice little getaway.
Have a great Friday!

What hotels or bed and breakfasts do you recommend staying at in Charleston? Can you do a post? 🙂
Taralynn McNitt says
I’ve done a couple of Charleston posts! My parents live down there and I usually stay with them or when a group of us go, we stay at a hotel. I’ll do some posting for you! 🙂

Thanks girl! I have enjoyed your previous posts on Charleston. We are looking to go for 2-3 nights so maybe you could do a post on the best things to do during a weekend trip?

My boyfriend and I are thinking of taking a road trip from Raleigh, where we have a wedding in late May, down through Wilmington to visit friends, and stop in Charleston, and maybe Savannah/Hilton Head. They have been on my list of places to visit, and I can’t wait to read your post about Charleston to get some restaurant and to-do suggestions. 🙂

Oh my goodness! Mr. puppy is so cute! I love Dachshunds (I think that’s what he is?)
And good grief! I would die if I did all of that in a day! How do you do that?
Taralynn McNitt says
It sounds like a lot, but it’s not all at once and I make sure to get enough fuel to do it! 🙂
Kristin C says
That’s true. I guess spacing it out helps!

How hard was your workout on a scale of 1-10? Sounds like a lot of freestyle fun. 🙂

The photo shows the protein powder in chocolate? Is that what you used or vanilla?
Taralynn McNitt says
I used vanilla! Same brand. I do have the chocolate and love it!

That looks like the forest in the Twilight movie, when Bella and Edward are laying on their backs.

Hi there!
I am so sorry for Grumps and you. Poor little boy! Hope, he doesn´t end up like my big baby. Diarrhea is so awful. Sirius has it from time to time ´cause he is allergic to many stuff in dog food. It took us a long time to find out what he can eat. He is fine with lamb.
His bad habit is, that he eats everything he can get. It´s the Labrador… 🙂
There´s a nice help for doggies tummy ache: overcooked noodles. They are best, when they are really mushy. Rice is good, too. But noodles are better.
Give him a big hug, please!
So, I´m commenting under this post, because I was completly flashed when I saw this cute little Denver. 🙂 He has a twin in Germany!
I few years ago, I rescued puppies (yes, i had 5 dogs jumping around) and there was the Moritz. He´s was adopted by my lovely neighbor.
I hope, that link to my blog will work:
