By the time 9 o’clock rolled around, we were starving! All of that shopping worked up an appetite. We drove back home, got dressed up and went out for drinks and food at On The Border. I know chain restaurants aren’t as good as local restaurants, but it was close and the girls wanted their margaritas. Â I’m kind of obsessed with their salsa, even though it’s freaking HOT!
Their margaritas were good, but I feel as if they could have been stronger. Less mixer, more…well you know.
Talk about a day full of fiesta salads…I ordered their new Tex Mex Cobb salad. It had lettuce, avocado, fried avocado, pico, roasted corn, Â and grilled chicken. To be honest, I’ve had better. The chicken was dry and lacked flavor, the lettuce was wilted, the ranch wasn’t restaurant style, and it just lacked flavor. I order a lot of fiesta style salads, so compared to the rest…it was just OK.

I used to work at On the Border and visited recently. The food is definitely not as good anymore! I always feel the hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurants are the best. 🙂

A mexican restaurant without good margaritas isn’t worth it hah!

The last time I went to On The Border, I ordered the same thing, and it was mushy and greasy. That, and the fact it took 2 hours to get seated and another hour to get food, I wasn’t a happy girl.
