Thank you, CVS Pharmacy for sponsoring today’s post. All opinions are my own!
I never realized how much I needed a weekend getaway with my best friend until I got home. We made some crazy memories, laughed until we cried, and danced around like no one was watching. I think we put our focus on the wrong things when it comes to self-care. It’s not the face masks, bubble baths, or nail salon visits that will boost our moods or stress levels, but it’s the laughs we have with friends, the food we fuel our body with, the endorphins we get from a workout and getting a good night’s sleep. We need to start focusing on what will make our lives richer, and it’s not the material things. I want my life to be rich with laughs, experiences, and the people that matter the most to me.
I have been so lucky to be able to work with one of my favorite companies this year, CVS Pharmacy, to bring awareness to self-care. They understand that it’s a vital part of proactive health care, and they are working hard to add new and exciting things to make self-care easier for 5 million+ Americans who shop in THEIR stores daily. And since I’m one of those daily shoppers, I appreciate everything they are doing to make my goal of living my healthiest lifestyle more accessible than ever.
Last weekend, my best friend and I took a trip down to Miami Beach to celebrate her getting married. She didn’t want a big bachelorette party, so I figured a fun little “bestie & the bride” getaway would be perfect. We wanted to spend our time walking the beach, laying out by the pool, watching movies, trying out cute coffee shops, and taking photos around the art district.
Days spent at the beach calls for snacks, CVS Health Sunscreen, CVS Health Aloe Continuous Spray, and lots of Hint water. Walking around exploring a new city calls for CVS Health Manuka Honey Adhesive Pads, CVS Health Kinesiology Athletic Tape, and even more sunscreen! We were so lucky because CVS was right across the street from our hotel. CVS Pharmacy is the most convenient destination to find a wide variety of innovative self-care and proactive wellness solutions, which came in handy during our vacation! We were able to treat ourselves with everything we needed for our trip, and of course all the extras (sour candies not pictured!) We went into CVS about four times during our weekend trip.
Before we left for Miami, I built a little self-care package to bring on the trip for the bride! If you know someone is going through a stressful time, CVS Pharmacy has everything you need to build the perfect care package for them. I put together some of her favorite things, and a few other products I thought would help her relax while on vacation.
CVS Pharmacy will always win over my heart (and stomach) in the snack selection! I picked out some fun indulgences and a couple of healthier options.
Made Good Chocolate Banana Granola Bars
Gold Emblem Abound Birthday Cake Popcorn (I told you all I was going to find this!)
Wonderful Chili Roasted Pistachios
Navitas Organic Goji Berries
Gold Emblem Abound Organic Dark Chocolate Cherry Trail Mix
Gold Emblem Mini-Sized Turkey Pepperoni Sticks
Vita Coco Water (so crucial for hydration in the Miami humidity)
Hint Water (The hint water was all I craved during this trip!)
Rest is always important on vacation, and it’s also essential for the bride to be! I know my best friend has been working so hard with putting all the final details on the wedding, so helping her relax on this vacation was my goal!

Sometimes life gets busy, and it’s hard to take time to care for yourself, but CVS Pharmacy is going above and beyond to make it easier and more convenient than ever! They have launched hundreds of unique and exciting products this year focused on physical, mental, emotional, and social health! We all have different forms of self-care, but at the end of the day, it’s all about how self-care can make your life a little better.
I’m looking forward to scouting out the newest self-care products at the CVS stores and reporting back to you all.
CVS has a wide variety of vitamins and supplements, and I love that they created the Tested to Be Trusted program, which requires third-party testing of ALL vitamins and supplements sold in-store and online to confirm the accuracy of the dietary ingredients listed on the supplement facts panel and to confirm products are free from certain additives and ingredients. It gives me total peace of mind that I can trust what I’m buying and putting in my body. To me, treating your body with only the best supplements and vitamins is self-care!
Since life seems to go by in the blink of an eye, I encourage you to spend more time laughing with friends, going on the trip you’ve dreamed of, and slowing down to practice better self-care once in a while. Everyone deserves a good self-care routine no matter what it entails. CVS is also encouraging customers to treat themselves well by practicing self-care and proactive wellness on a regular basis. They understand that self-care means different things to different people, but it’s an important part of everyday health for EVERYONE, regardless of age, gender, or income.
I know this may sound silly, but it’s crazy what just sitting on a beach with your best friend, eating yummy snacks, and reading a good book can do to your mental health. Life is too short not to engage in those moments! When I got home from my trip, my mind felt clearer, and I felt even more motivated to tackle things on my list.
I hope you have plans this fall to treat yourself well and take the time to practice a good self-care routine!
