So I mentioned probiotics above and you guys probably hear about them all the time, but what are they? And why do we need them?
Probiotics are the tiny little microorganisms that help maintain balance in our digestive system! They also promote healthy immune function, which is an awesome plus! Probiotics are an important component to our healthy lifestyles because 70% of our immune system lives in our gut! WOAH. Probiotics are the beneficial bacteria that helps our digestive health by lining the intestines. If your gut is absorbing essential nutrients in foods, supplements and liquids more efficiently, then you know it’s a healthy gut! What in the world are organic acids?
They are the little helpers that feed beneficial bacteria in the gut so we can better absorb probiotics! They affect our blood sugars in a positive way, help control appetite and also produces effects similar to an antioxidant. I know you guys are all great at taking selfies! Questions for you!
- How do you get your probiotics?
- What flavor of KeVita have you tried?
- How do you stay healthy during the colder months?
How do you get your probiotics?I take a Bifido balance probiotic before each meal. I eat plain yogurt which I flavor with natural ingredients from time to time. I am NOT a fan of Sauerkraut or pickles. I used to have many stomach troubles, ever since I started taking probiotics I have not! They are SO important!
What flavor of KeVita have you tried? I have never tried KeVita, but I would love to! I feel like it is one of those drinks that seems fancy and healthy, so it would be a nice substitute when my husband is drinking alcohol to make me feel like I am indulging also.
How do you stay healthy during the colder months? I take Vitamin C on a regular basis and my normal routine of vitamins, end up using the elliptical since it is too cold outside, and making lots of warm soups loaded with vegetables! Winter is the perfect time to get lots of warm cooked vegetables in! Using the crock pot is an excellent way to have a warm dinner ready after we come in from a long day at work. Also – you have to moisturize more, can’t forget about your skin!
Hi Brittany!
That is great to hear that probiotics have helped you with stomach issues! That is no fun. & EW. I do not like sauerkraut either. I used to be so mad at my parents when they’d make it for dinner! It stunk up the whole house.
It’s such a great substitute. I love that it helps with soda cravings or beer cravings during the games! It’s fizzy and refreshing.
Looks like you have a great routine. I love loading up on vegetable soups and roasted veggies! & you’re so right about moisturizing! Dry skin season for sure.
xo xo
Oh. My. Goodness! I fell in love with Kevita after your last giveaway! Thanks for the introduction(: My favorite flavor is the Lemon Ginger, I’m so afraid to spend the money to try other flavors because I love this one so much! (Any favorites you suggest?) Looking forward to entering this giveaway too! *fingers crossed*
Hi Shannen!
It’s seriously so good and I love how it takes away my soda cravings! LEMON GINGER is my fave as well. Those are two of my favorite beverages flavors and now they’re one! 😉
I also love the cinnamon apple!
xo good luck!
I don’t drink sugar at all and so I get my probiotics from kimchi, so I won’t be entering this giveaway, but if I wasn’t low carb I would so definitely be drinking KeVita!
Is Kimchi picked cabbage? This giveaway also includes a $50 Amazon gift card so there is always that 😉
Hi! great post about a great company. I get my probiotics from eating Greek yogurt everyday for breakfast. I drink Kevita 1-2 times a week. I love the lemon cheyanne and lemon ginger. This summer mojito was my go to. And I want to try the new tonics as the flavors sound very fall. I stay healthy in the winter by taking group fitness classes because having accountability makes me vomit. I also will be bundling up for cold walks with my chocolate lab this winter. As far as eating, I try to be 80/20 and avoid eating grilled cheese and tomato soup EVERYday. I would love to win this giveaway as daily kevita could be a part of this healthy winter routine.
Amy
Hi Amy!
I love Greek yogurt. I go through phases! I eat a ton and then don’t eat it at all. I don’t know why I do that lol
I love the lemon ginger as well!
Fitness classes are great and a perfect way to escape the cold weather! I love bundling up for dog walks and the pups love it!
I do the 80/20 too! I’m a grilled cheese fanatic in the winter. I do the 35 calorie weight watchers cheese and bread + organic tomato soup! It’ a 100 calorie cheese sandwich! 🙂
xo GOOD LUCK!
I must try that healthy option for cold nights!! Thanks for the suggestion 🙂
1. How do you get your probiotics?
I can’t eat normal yogurt so I’ve found goat yogurt or soy/almond yogurts work but by far and above komboucha is my favorite way to get it!
2. What flavor of KeVita have you tried?
After you had blogged about KeVita a while ago I ended up trying a few, I really like the Lemon Ginger, and Mojito flavors and LOVE the Melon Lavender flavor.

Exercise is essential, eating healthy, plus I make hot lemon tea with honey any time I feel a cold coming on.
I’ve never had goat yogurt! That seems interesting. I’ll have to look into that. Kombucha is a great way to get it!

1. I use the Digestive Plus probiotic from Arbonne (almost) daily. You can mix it in with pretty much any cold or room temp. liquid, but I prefer to just mix it with a little water and take it like a shot on an empty stomach as I feel it’s more effective that way. I also LOVE Noosa yogurt and have been having it for breakfast a couple times a week.
2. I have yet to try it but am intrigued!
3. I take a shot of immunity booster daily, take my probiotics, try to eat healthy, keep up with an exercise routine of yoga, strength, and cardio, and if I feel something coming on I bust out the essential oils and drink lots of green tea and water with lemon.
