Top Ten Best & Worst Gifts For Your Man
I always thought guys were easy to shop for. Just get them underwear, cologne, or some movies, right? Wrong! I had a reality check today while talking to my boyfriend and our good friend, Anthony. I thought it would be the perfect time to take advantage of the two since we were just sitting around watching football. As I was putting together a list of the worst and bests gifts to buy for men I started naming some of them off to get their opinions. These two don’t hold back, they are straightforward and will tell you exactly what they think. After our discussion, I decided to re-do my list with their top ten recommendations. Half of the gift guides on the internet are made by females, but men are the ones that know what men want.
Let’s just say some of the items on my list made the best…and the worst list; some fell in-between.

In order to buy the perfect gift, get to know your man better. Some guys would love to go to a football game while others would love to go to a show.

The suggestion of tickets is SUCH a good idea. My husband loves when I get him tickets to football and basketball games and it gives us an opportunity to go do something we love together!

Like you said, you really need to get to know your man first. While some guys would love everything on the list for top ten best gifts, my husband would hate everything but would love everything on the top ten worst gifts. Just goes to show that everyone has their own unique tastes. 🙂
I 100% aree! I tried to explain to the guys that some guys don’t give a CRAP about football and some would rather have a new guitar or a record. Plus, I know some guys LOVE clothes. But, it really depends on the guy 🙂

I get my fiancée a new Gii for pretty much any birthday or Christmas. He’s really into fitness so another thing I do is sometimes I’ll make a basket with all of his favorite protein bars/supplements/meal replacements and add in a new piece of exercise equipment, like a kettle bell. I got him a pair of Bomba’s which he loved too :D. Would love to see more posts like this for all family members!

My fiancée loved his old wallet. Unfortunately he lost his in a cab while we were in South America! I’m getting him a new one for his birthday in November. He’ll have to break this one in too! ?

I’m a big whiskey enthusiast, but my boyfriend is not so we are always looking for whiskeys that will win him over. I love Pendleton, Masterson’s, and Glenlivet but would love to know what your man or his friends suggest! 🙂
Nick likes three Gingers! It contains organic ginger, galangal & golden turmeric. He likes to sip it while reading every now and then (i think its cute). Maybe get him hooked on a flavored whiskey! Maple whiskey is pretty good and tasty in coffee this time of year.
People who freak out over cigars are ridiculous. Everything causes cancer! You can’t go through life without enjoying the things you love. As long as you’re not smoking them everyday you’re doing nothing wrong.

This is a great idea!! I always struggle with getting my boyfriend something.. especially because our anniversary, birthdays and christmas fall pretty close together. My go to is always shoes- Sanuks, because he likes the comfy yet crisp style. But recently I got him a really nice Eno camping hammock and he lives in it. Also, I got him tickets to see Jack Johnson for his birthday last year… Gotta treat yourself at the some time. 🙂 hehe this was a great post!

He would never ever smoke a cigarerte or even a cigarr, he isn’t interested in sports…
But he loves plants. His house is full of his baby-plants and the best thing is to give him some more plants he can care for, because plants are friends. 😉
Tickets are ALWAYS my go to when I can’t come up with anything else! It has actually become a tradition in our family to go to certain sporting events each year.
I think sporting events are awesome for gifts and I’m all for traditions!

I completely agree with the wallet thing, but I didn’t really realize guys usually like the old broken in ones until I tried to buy one for my fiance…multiple times. Haha
I also love giving him gifts for adventures, like you said with the sky-diving, bungee jumping thing. Movie tickets, dinner gift certificates, and any homemade baked goods…especially pie! are always appreciated by him too!

Excellent ideas! My finace is a big pomade fan, though he sticks to the cheaper stuff to save a few dollars. So I spend a little extra on good ol’ Dapper Dan on birthdays and other holidays and it’s always a hit.
