I finally have time to do a catch up post before my crazy day begins. I’ve been here and there getting everything ready for the trip, and finally catching up on other work that I missed out on during my vacation.
Tuesday morning, I made a big breakfast because Grumples and I were about to go six miles. My breakfast had scrambled egg with cheese, sweet potato, bell pepper, and tomatoes. I had a couple pieces of bacon, apple chicken sausages and grapes.
I guess I hadn’t really paid attention to the weather changes here in the South. I mean, it’s 85 degrees and the leaves look like that! How gorgeous!
The red leaves are my favorite in the fall.
I felt like I was walking down a movie set street.
How cute was this Halloween set up?
Later Tuesday night, I had some Minestrone soup and salad that I made in the crockpot.
Wednesday, our internet was out because a power line or some kind of line was down in the area. I had to get most of my work done at Starbucks, but I didn’t mind. I like doing work there sometimes. I focus better. I did spend half of the day power cleaning.
For dinner I had a chicken salad with homemade balsamic dressing.
I also stopped at the Farmers Market to pick up some fresh fruit.
Yesterday morning after going to the grocery store, I whipped up a breakfast before doing some work. I made peanut butter toast, yogurt with honey, and fresh fruit. Oh, and coffee!
For lunch, I had chopped up all the extra vegetables in my fridge and made a salad.
When Emilee got home, we took the dogs for a long walk. We stopped for Froyo at the end of the walk.
I can’t even…they’re so cute!
When we got back, I made an iced coffee protein shake. You can find the recipe here.
Later in the afternoon, we took the dogs to the doggy wash for a clean up! Grumps loves it! Enzo? Not so much…
For dinner, I chopped up the rest of the vegetables in the house and made a salad!
When I was at the bookstore in Waxhaw, I picked up some books on France!

Hey Taralynn! I’m going to be passing through Charlotte this weekend from Tennessee on my way to Wilmington. I cannot wait to be in Charlotte for a couple hours and explore a bit! We are definitely checking out Stacks while we are there! I’m so excited to SEE so many of the places you talk about all the time! Charlotte is very out of our way, but we are taking a detour simply because I wanted to check out Charlotte, thanks to you! So few of our tress are changing right now in Tennessee, so I cannot wait to get to North Carolina and experience some little bits of fall! Your posts have pretty much inspired this entire trip for us, so thanks for that! Have a great weekend, Taralynn!
