I’m sorry to disappoint, but Olive Garden it was.

I am going to disappoint a lot of you, including my self a little. I live in Charlotte. There are so many GREAT places to eat. But last night, we chose to eat at…Olive Garden. I know some of you are going WHAT? but, it was close, we wanted wine, and didn’t feel like driving out of the way. Even though it’s not a local place, it’s still one of our favorites. We have years to experience all the local restaurants, and last night we felt like settling with the chain restaurant.

Another dissapoinment.  I ordered the same thing as the last 12398798 times I’ve eaten there, minestrone soup and salad. But honesty, I wasn’t that hungry, so soup and salad sounded great with my wine. Samantha and I went on our long 7 mile walk and I had eaten chicken prior to that. We just wanted somewhere to go sit and have a little girls night.

  1. U are such an inspiration I make arm knitted infinity scarves and would love to send you one free please let me know f I can do this

  2. I love Olive Garden so don’t worry about it. Is that tip chart for real?? If that’s really how they determine how many mints to give you, I had no idea and if so, then my fiancé needs to start tipping more so that he gets 3 mints! I think we’ve had 4 before though, 2 for each but he always gets mine because I don’t like mint.

    1. Oh no! hahaha It was a joke, but seriously…if they give me extra mints…I’ll drop extra 😉

  3. I’m an Olive Garden junkie. It is really close to my house and we eat there all the time – too much probably. But it is always so good!

    1. It is for sure! I just like to support the local restaurants more. Although, I can’t help but slip into the olive garden spell!

  4. I am the exact same way. There are about twenty healthy, delicious, local restaurants around my house, but I just can’t resist the soup and salad at Olive Garden. Love the tip chart;)

    1. haha thanks! I am obsessed with their salad dressings. I would eat salad all day long if I had theirs. I actually think you can buy it.

      1. We bought some at Sam’s Club.

I see no need in apologizing! I love Olive Garden. It’s nice to just sit down to something familiar every once in a while. Their soup and salad is the way to go always for me. I’ve gotten their pasta and things in the past and have always been disappointed! The salad and soup never fails me. Neither does 4 or 5 glasses of wine…or the whole bottle. 🙂

  6. What else is good there for vegetarians besides the soup?

    1. They have all kinds of pasta’s that you could ask for no meat on. When I was a vegetarian, the pizza was my favorite!

  7. Ingredients

    Ingredients
    1/2 cup mayonnaise
    1/3 cup white vinegar
    1 teaspoon vegetable oil
    2 tablespoons light corn syrup
    2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
    2 tablespoons grated Romano cheese
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt, or 1 garlic clove, minced
    1/2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
    1/2 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
    1 tablespoon lemon juice
    Sugar (optional)
    Instructions

Combine all the ingredients in a blender until well mixed. If this is a little too tart for your own personal taste, add a little extra sugar. You can enjoy your Olive Garden salad dressing for up to 10 days if you store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

          1. Please do, let me know what you think??

We live way out in the country in a small town. My Granny always saw the commercials and wanted to try it so I took her in June. She loved it. My grandpa hates pasta but we love it the next day she was still talking about it.

  9. I just bought their salad dressing from the grocery store 2 days ago! I love that stuff, much better than regular Italian dressing! Now I want soup and salad for dinner!

  10. I’ve seen their salad dressing for sale at Sam’s Club!

  11. I am with you on those mints! If they left me three, the tip would most certainly increase! 😛
