Cabo Wabo & The D’s Grill: Las Vegas Trip!
This week has gone by way too fast. Yesterday, Jeremy and I spent the day together. It rained all day! We started out having lunch at Cabo Wabo Cantina. They have the best chips!
I ordered the Mexican style chopped salad with chipotle vinigrette, tomatoes, celery, corn, cucumber, cliantro and avocado
The celery was kind of different on the salad. I wasn’t really feeling it!
I have been extremely excited about Giada opening a restaurant in Vegas! I got the chills when I saw her construction sign! I can’t wait to eat there next time I’m in Vegas!
We stopped at the Flamingo casino to check out the flamingos. It’s a silly Vegas tradition.
Last night, we took a cab to Fremont Street. That place is crazy on the weekends and I love it! We had dinner at The D’s Grill. I ordered a Southwest grilled chicken salad. I guess I was feeling the Mexican food yesterday.
After dinner we ran into this guy on the street performing magic tricks. He was extremely talented. In fact, he is on this season of America’s Got Talent. Does anyone else think he looks like Liam from 90210?
You should check out DJ’s Taco Stand on the strip! It’s across from The Aria and it’s the best, cheapest authentic Mexican! I usually get the fish tacos (grilled or fried) 🙂
I walked by there yesterday! I had froyo right next to it! I’ll give it a try:) I LOVE TACOS! 🙂
Haha, does that sign really say, “Free Breast Exams”? Vegas is crazy, but it sounds like they have really great food! Might be on my to-visit list next year! 🙂

Im soooooo happy the new blog is working for me now! I was pretty bummed about it! Looks like your having a blast in Vegas 🙂 I went there with my husband and some friends in December… best part about it, THE FOOD!!!
Yup! The food is great! When it’s just jeremy and I we go to a lot of different restaurants. It’s easier for his dad, who had throat cancer, to eat at buffets because they have soft food, but tonight were going to a fancy italian restaurant! Can’t wait!
You dont get tired of eating salads all the time? Even on vacation you only eat salads.
I don’t only eat salads. On those buffets, there are a ton of different foods with salad. I truly enjoy salads and that’s why I eat them a lot.
Girl, come on, she doesn’t only eat salads! And if she did, what’s it to any of us? Salads are tasty and good for you!
That salad looks great, but I have to agree on not digging the celery idea on the Mexican inspired dish.
The most important thing to point out about this post. The Flamingo’s. I was JUST in Vegas beginning of February. STAYED at the Flamingo for two nights. Never did see them.

Yeah, that celery really threw a curve ball. I love celery with peanut butter and hummus or in my soup, but thats about it! I was dodging the celery pieces in the salad lol.
You never saw the FLAMINGOS!? I walked three miles just to see those! It’s a vegas tradition lol I love flamingos so much!
