Smoothies all year for me!
When I get back to the home base, I’ll make the them more seasonal. There are ten more days left until the kitchen and I reunite. I can’t wait to jump into Holiday mode. I dug this smoothie from the recipe vault to share. My favorite component in this smoothie is it’s thickness. It has almost the same consistency as soft serve ice cream or fro-yo!
Ingredients:
*1 Cup Whole Frozen Strawberries, *1/2 Cup Frozen Peaches, *1 Cup Unsweetened Coconut Milk, *1 Cup Ice, *1/2 Tsp Vanilla, *1 Packet Stevia or 1 Tbsp of Honey, *1 Serving of Vanilla Protein Powder. (I use Biochem, Vega, or GeniSoy),
Blend all ingredients together!
What I love about this smoothie is that it’s perfect for a post workout fuel. Most protein bars are well over 250 calories with only 10-20 grams of protein and they are not as filling. I am always hungry after a protein bar. Don’t get me wrong! I love protein bars because they are good for quick fixes and leave no clean up labor after. But if If I had to choose, it would be a smoothie!
