Sick of pumpkin yet? Me neither!
This morning before going on my run, I had a quick pre fuel snack. I drove over to my running path and as soon as I got out of the car, it started pouring down rain. I was a little annoyed but watching the Crossfit games on T.V. last night inspired me. I’m sure Camille Leblanc-Bazinet would never stop for a little rain. And I wasn’t going to let it stand in my way of bettering myself. So I tightened my laces and took off.
People are always confused about what to eat before and after a workout. I still get confused. I hear so many different things from all kinds of people. I have tried all types of pre snacks and post snacks. High protein, high carb, high calorie, low calorie, high fat etc. Some work and some don’t. You need to find what works for you! All bodies are different. Stick to the protein/carbs, but choose the right types of foods for your body. Some people get sick eating dairy and some people get cramped eating fruit. Some don’t. I also make sure to eat 30 minutes before a run to allow my food to digest before taking off.
My pumpkin pie yogurt consisted of 1/4 cup of pumpkin puree, 6 oz vanilla Greek yogurt, 1/2 tbsp honey, 1 tsp ground cinnamon, 1 tbsp almond flour. It was delicious! I plan on making this over and over again!
