Fly Eagles Fly: Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl Charcuterie
The excitement is high in our house for the big game tonight! Since Iowa didn’t have an NFL team, I was always a bit of a floater when it came to football. But that all changed about ten years ago when I met my husband—I immediately adopted the green, black, and white and never looked back. I’m officially a Philadelphia Eagles fan! 🦅🏈
Funny enough, Fly, Eagles Fly has become a staple in our son’s bedtime routine—we’re required to sing it a few times before he’ll even think about falling asleep! His favorite part is yelling EAGLES!
E-A-G-L-E-S!
EAGLES!!!
Tonight, we’ll let our son catch the first quarter before tucking him into bed, then settle in on the couch with our game-day charcuterie board to watch the rest. And because no big game is complete without something sweet, I’ve got a batch of chocolate chip cookies ready for a halftime treat. Let’s go, Eagles! 💚🖤🤍

I wanted to add a fun touch to our game days, so I decided to make a custom serving tray with the Eagles logo! I grabbed a $6 tray from Hobby Lobby, some paints, and used an online logo as a reference. When I freehand designs, I rely on a lot of guiding lines to keep things straight—and if you squint, I’d say it turned out pretty good!
I love projects like this, especially because my son enjoys watching me paint. Of course, I set him up with his own little masterpiece to work on too!

I added a layer of Saran wrap since I wasn’t sure what kind of finish to put on the board yet—just a temporary fix to keep the food from touching the paint.
For the toppings, I went with some of our favorite cheeses: pepper jack, tomato basil cheddar, merlot cheddar, aged gouda, and blueberry goat cheese. Then, I layered in plenty of cured meats—pepperoni, prosciutto, salami, soppressata, and Calabrese. To round it out, I added a variety of crackers, nuts, fresh and dried fruits (including dried oranges), and a little something sweet—sea salt chocolate caramels. I always need a good mix of sweet and savory on a charcuterie board!
I used my little letter cutters to carve the words ‘FLY EAGLES FLY’ out of provolone cheese slices for the top of the charcuterie!
I LOVE how it turned out!!
