Add a pop of color to your bathroom with Who Gives a Crap toilet paper!
I’m sure you all know by now that I’m color-obsessed. Every pillow on my couch is a different color, I stop at every bright shirt at the mall, and even my kitchen appliances are pink. Now, I get to hop on a whole new level of color because I just stocked my bathroom shelves with Who Gives a Crap toilet paper. Who Gives a Crap toilet paper is so much more than the fun and colorful wrapping it’s cozied up with. This eco-friendly toilet paper company donates 50% of profits to help build toilets in developing countries to improve sanitation. And since they use 100% recycled paper and bamboo products to make their rolls, they don’t contribute to the 27,000 trees that are chopped down daily to make toilet paper! I’m very excited to partner with Who Gives a Crap today, and I have a feeling you’re going to love this company as much as I do!
Who Gives a Crap? Me, and here’s why you should too.
Who Gives a Crap was founded by a group of remarkable people in Melbourne in 2012 after learning that 2.5 billion people in the world do not have access to a toilet. That means more people in the world have a mobile phone than a toilet. Say what? That’s literally 1 in 3 people. Not having a toilet can lead to contaminated and serious illnesses. Having proper sanitation is a must, and it’s devastating to the families that live without it. Click here to read more about the impact that they are making!
I love that Who Gives a Crap has donated over $1.4 million USD to charity partners to help these developing countries. Knowing that 50% of the profits from my purchase can help other people makes me even more excited to start purchasing my toilet paper from this company. We often make excuses that we don’t have time to volunteer, but your everyday purchases can make all the difference. Plus, toilet paper delivered right to your doorstep for free? Sign me up!
How cute are these rolls?
Every time someone uses my bathroom, the first thing they say when they walk out is how cute the toilet paper rolls are. I was a little offended they didn’t comment on my homemade candle, but I guess I can’t blame them. These rolls aren’t your typical toilet paper rolls that you find at the store. They are wrapped in 100% compostable and recyclable paper. You can also save the wrapping to use for gifts! The emergency roll makes me laugh because we’ve all been there before. There’s nothing worse than running out of toilet paper! I thought about making a funny box that looks like a fire extinguisher to put above the toilet with the emergency roll.
When you think about eco-friendly, recycled toilet paper, you’re probably wondering how soft they actually are. I can confirm that the Who Gives a Crap toilet paper rolls are indeed soft, high-quality, and super durable. You won’t have to worry about the sheets falling apart in your hands, and they are 3-ply.

Plastic-Free July
Since it’s Plastic-free July, I thought I’d share what Who Gives a Crap is doing to work to become plastic-free! The wrapping and toilet paper itself is already free from inks, dyes, scents, and plastic. But now, they have put all of their focus on getting rid of plastic in every form as quickly as possible from every part of their supply chain.
Even if you have the perfect plastic-free product, tiny pieces of plastic can pop up in things like shipping tape. They have already gotten rid of the plastic found on the tissue boxes and are so close to ultimately becoming plastic-free! You can read more about their plastic-free journey here! Who Gives a Crap have worked so hard on their plastic-free journey, and you can read all the steps they took if you click here! “Good for the bum, great for the world.”
If you want to continue to show your support, you can also shop their paper towels and tissues to make all of the commonly used paper products in yourself are sourced from recycled paper and bamboo. I think their tissue boxes are so cute, and I look forward to putting those in my bathrooms as well.

Questions for you!
- Which wrapping is your favorite? (I love the pink one!)
- Were you just as shocked as I was to learn that more people own mobile phones than toilets?

1. Pink is my favorite too!
2. Yas! That’s really so hard to believe.
3. Not as much as I should be, but this post is definitely inspiring me to more aware!

The pink sprinkles are definitely my favorites wrapping! Too cute.
I was actually super surprised to compare the price to my typical Quilted Northern Ultra Soft and Strong – the price is almost EXACTLY THE SAME. However, there are actually only 308 sheets on Quilted Northern’s mega rolls… and there are 400 sheets on these. Quilted Northern is only a two-ply paper… where this is three! I have also been a little off-put the last couple of bundles we have purchased.. they almost had like a toilet paper “pilling” or fuzz on the outside of the rolls for the first few uses. Nobody wants that on their bum. Gross.
I am DEFINITELY going to talk to my husband about switching over! This seems like an amazing deal, all around!
P.S: Is this adulting? Getting excited about getting a vacuum for your birthday and getting excited about the stuff with which we wipe our butts. (*insert shrug emoji) I’m not even mad about it haha!
Taralynn McNitt says
Aren’t they!!
I love that you did the comparison! I think people will jump to think it’s more expensive but it’s not! 😊 And it helps so many in need!
I think you’ll love the switch 😀
HAHAHAHA yes, absolutely adulting!!

The emergency roll cracked me up.
It’s very sad to learn about people around the world not owning toilets. I never would have believed that to be an issue.
I’m not very good about being plastic-free with my kiddos, but it’s something I will work on and perhaps set the example for them.
Taralynn McNitt says
Hi, Kelsey!
What a great goal to work on with your kids 😊

My kids would love these! Maybe this will help my youngest with potty training.
Taralynn McNitt says
Ohh! Maybe! 🙂

There’s a reason for the individual wrapping…Here’s the answer from their website 🙂
Long story short, we have to wrap our rolls in something to keep them moisture-free and hygienic. We could wrap 6 rolls together (that’s the limit), but we’d need to use a much thicker paper. The net paper used (by weight) to wrap a 6 pack in heavy duty paper vs. six individual rolls in the thin tissue paper we use is effectively the same. The only other option would have been to wrap all 48 rolls in a big outer plastic wrap, which we don’t think is a worthwhile alternative.
Also, we think they look cute. They work wonders as an online product because they’re eye catching and shareable. We know this because our customers are constantly sharing snaps of their deliveries on social media, and gifting rolls to friends. This is really important because the more people share what we’re doing, the more we can grow and the more toilet-building and sanitation projects we can fund! (plus, it’s cheaper than paid advertising).
Taralynn McNitt says
Thanks for finding that! xo

Is there a way to order the rolls without them individually wrapped?
Taralynn McNitt says
I’ll look into that!

I am so happy to read, that its now avaiable in Europe too. Will order it as soon as my stock is empty.
Pink is always a good choice, but I like all the colors.
I am doing a few thing to go plastic free:
1. taking my own Coffee Cup 2 Go
2. Taking my own water bottle (you can refill it in a lot of shops for free, thats great in this hot summer days)
3. Taking reusable bags for my grocery shopping, always have a lightweight bag and backpack in my purse for shopping
4. Buying my milk in glass bottles
5. don`t use tupperware or similar at home, instead I have glas jars and containers
6. no straws or glass straw/maccaroni
7. no single use plastic like plates or cups
8. taking my own cuttlery when I am on tour and it could be, that I have to eat take away
9. I have a small towell in my purse, so I don`t need to use paper towells.
etc.
