Soft Mini Pretzels Bites (Cinnamon Sugar, Garlic Parmesan, & Sea Salt)
If you’re looking for an innexpensive recipe to serve and make for a ton of hungry football party goers, this is it! You can make this recipe with basic ingredients that you probably already have in the house. I also love that you can flavor up the pretzels anyway you’d like using the same recipe. I made three of my favorite flavors, but you can get as create as you want with it! I think I’m going to try chocolate walnut pretzel next!
I’m currently in New York, but wanted to add a quick recipe to the post before the day. I am going to try to sneak in an update post tonight or tomorrow morning. We drove through the night, but made it! It’s beautiful up here.

These are also fun to make for kid’s lunches. I also love that you can flavor up the pretzels anyway you’d like using the same recipe. I made three of my favorite flavors, but you can get as create as you want with it! I think I’m going to try chocolate walnut pretzel next!
INGREDIENTS
- 2 Cups Warm Water
- 2 Packages Active Dry Yeast
- 1/2 Cup Sugar
- 1 Tablespoon Salt
- 1/3 Cup Melted Butter
- 6 Cups All-Purpose Flour
- 2 Large Eggs
- *Toppings: Ground Cinnamon, Granulated Sugar, Melted Butter, Garlic Powder, Parmesan Cheese, Sea Salt
- *Icing – 1/2 – 1 cup powdered sugar, 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1 tablespoon melted butter, 1/2 tablespoon milk.
DIRECTIONS
-
Mix together yeast and warm water. Pour in sugar and combine.
-
Pour in the melted butter and only 3 cups of the flour and combine. Whisk eggs together in a separate bowl, then add to bowl and mix well.
-
After the eggs are completely mixed in, add the remaining 3 cups of flour and salt. If you have a hard time mixing the flour in, add a tablespoon of warm water at a time.
-
Cover the dough with wax paper and a towel.
-
Place it in a warmer area and allow it to rise for about 45 minutes.
-
Add flour to the countertop or a pastry cloth.
-
Tear pieces of the dough off and roll it into mini balls. (About 1 1/2 tablespoon sized)
-
Form the dough balls into mini pretzels.
-
Heat oven to 350 Degrees For the sea salt pretzels, add butter and seasalt.
-
Mix cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl. Add a layer of butter over the top of the pretzel dough and sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the top.
-
Add a butter layer, parmesan cheese and sprinkle garlic powder over the garlic parmesan flavored pretzels.
-
Bake 15-20 minutes.
-
Mix 1/2 – 1 cup powdered sugar, 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1 tablespoon melted butter, 1/2 tablespoon milk for the icing. If it’s too thick, add more milk. If it’s too runny, add more powdered sugar.
-
The sea salt pretzels are best when dipped in yellow mustard.
-
The garlic parmeson pretzels are best served with pizza sauce
-
Enjoy!
I want you to come up with a fun pretzel flavor combo! Leave your idea in the comment section 🙂
these look so good! i haven’t experimented much with dough before, except for attemping cinammon rolls which kinda turned out on the tougher side instead of soft, but hopefully these will turn out like yours!
This is an easy recipe so you should be good to go!!
How long can you leave them out before they get hard!? I can’t wait to try!
Probably a couple of days! Just leave them covered or in a closed container:)

yum these look great! I bet a southwestern style pretzel with cumin, garlic, onion powder, and chili flakes would be great!
Oh yum!!!
Awww, these are so cute looking! I love how you give a variety of flavour options.
I love doing that with recipes 🙂
A toasted almond pretzel would be amazing! Like the one’s at Auntie Anne’s 🙂
OH yum!!!
Are these ok to make ahead of time? Or best served fresh??
Best served fresh but you can heat them back up in the oven.
Aren’t you supposed to boil pretzels to give them that pretzel texture?
You can boil them in water with baking soda, but baking them without that process does the trick too
You havnt done any updates lately are u ok?
Yes:) We had to make a quick trip to New York for a funeral and we’ve been go go go, so I’ll get one up soon.
Those cinnamon sugar ones!!
anything cinnamon sugar 🙂
Your recipes are so fun. My boyfriend and I think it would be cool to make a buffalo pretzel with blue cheese crumbles.
Or a blue cheese dip!! That would be so fun 🙂
These look awesome
thanks!
YUUUUM! Omg I am drooling just looking at this! They look so easy to make!

If I don’t have wax paper can I use something else? Like foil?
Oops also, how many ounces in the packages of yeast?
These were so simple and delicious! thank you!
Thank you! That is what I aim for 🙂
People always think I’m crazy when I tell them that I love mustard on my pretzels.
It’s the best!:)
These were so good!
