After church Sunday, I went out to brunch with my family and Nick’s family. We just went up the road to a little local diner. I ordered the usual, egg white farmhouse omelet, whole grain toast, and country potatoes.
A couple hours after breakfast, I was ready to run! I actually planned a rest day for Sunday but felt like running. I took a break on Friday night and so it was ok to just do it! I wanted to make it a long run so I went 5.2 miles. It felt amazing, no pain, and no aches! The only issue I have is swollen legs after I run. They swell up for a couple of hours and then they slowly go down. I have been icing them and stretching after which helps!
Also, shoulder update! I get the pain slightly and then I’ve been doing different breathing exercises while running and it seems to be helping, especially relaxing the arms and clipping my iPod on my pants so it’s not in my hand!
Thanks for all the help and support lately!
You guys are amazing!

Nice one on the run! I also get blisters on my feet often from running, I don’t know if it’s the shoes or my wide feet, or maybe my running form, but it’s worth getting checked out if it becomes a hassle. 🙂

I have never tried icing my legs after a run, does that help? I am always looking for new tips! Do you ice your whole leg or just your calves?

Hi I was wondering how do you keep track how many miles you run?
