I never would have thought while living in the Carolinas, that I would see continuous days of snow. I do wish it was warm, but I also think the snow is beautiful, and so does Mr. Grumples.
I woke up to a sheet of snow on the ground and tons falling out of the sky. It’s nothing like the weather I dealt with in Detroit, Chicago, or Iowa; it’s more enjoyable.
We are supposed to get 2-5 more inches tonight. I hope it doesn’t change my flight out of here in the morning.
The snow resembled sprinkled powdered sugar on top of one of those girl scout lemon cookies.
And if you’re looking for a spot to take the polar plunge…I have one for you!
As soon as I opened up the windows, Grumples rushed to the back door to go out and play. He loves snow. He goes crazy in it running around, sniffing it up, and eating it. I picked up bubbles while shopping at Target for him. He is obsessed with bubbles. He was out for thirty minutes chasing bubbles. I wish I had that kind of energy.
And after I stopped blowing bubbles, he went for the ball. Talk about energy.
He was supposed to get groomed yesterday but I decided it wasn’t a good idea. Yes, he’s a fur ball, but he goes into a week depression after getting groomed. He hides, pouts, and won’t play. He gets embarrassed of his haircut. Since, I’m leaving for a week, it’s horrible timing to make him go through that. I had to reschedule for the 4th of March!
After spending almost and hour out in the snow with him, I made breakfast! I made light whole grain english muffins with butter, and three eggs over easy on top. I added garlic, cashew milk, olive oil, and cheese to the eggs!
Double check your flight! I was supposed to have a connection through Charlotte NC tomorrow morning but it just got cancelled because of the weather!
Your eggs always sound delicious!
Girl, your new backyard looks FAB! My dog loved when we bought a house with a yard – he sometimes just goes and sits out there just to be outside. Any plans to start a vegetable garden or anything when the weather gets nicer?
I’m in NC and we’re supposed to get 8-12 inches tonight! It’s been crazy for the past couple of weeks!
You must be somewhere near me. 🙂
Mr grumples is growing up, I thought he was smaller! And come see the snow in Canada sometime, will ya?
I know! I live in Asheville and it hasn’t snowed all winter until winter is almost over. Back home in KY they got 14 inches so at least its better than that. Stay warm 🙂
Cashew milk sounds interesting with the eggs! Your breakfast looks delicious as always!
I love how grumples totally poses for the camera. Such an adorable pup!
Those English muffins look sooo good right now as I sit down at my desk at work, starving from an extra long commute in on a train that had mechanical failure AND switch issues.
Mmmm!
