Samantha and I have been killing our night walks for the past couple of months. We try to hit 6-8 miles a night. The temperature is cooler at night and the skies are gorgeous.
Tuesday night, we were hungry, so we walked a couple miles to Ghengis Grill for dinner. My bowl had meats and vegetables.
Most nights, I end the walk with a protein smoothie. This one above has 1 scoop protein powder, 1 banana, 1 medium honey crisp apple, 1 packet true drink mix, 2 cups water, and once cup of ice. All it was missing was a couple shots of rum 😉
This guy only walks a mile or two and then quits!
The past couple of mornings, I’ve been on an egg, bagel and avocado kick! Today was no different.
^Late night snack. Goldfish make salads so much better!
Tonight I made dinner for the girls. I made pizza couscous, hoe made garlic rolls, and salad! I’ll post the recipes tomorrow!

I wish I could walk that long. I get so bored with my neighborhood I can’t take it anymore.

Long walks on summer evenings are so relaxing. It’s great that you and your friend can get out to do that (I bet you have some pretty fun conversations, too!). Walking with a friend really makes the time fly! 😀
I get out for evening walks as often as I can, along side my marathon training runs in the morning (13 miles). It really stretches out my muscles and is soooo relaxing. Plus I can bring along one of my sisters and walk my two collies! 🙂

Haha I know it was a small typo but it made me LOL because of what it coincidentally turned in to. I want to try some of those ‘hoe made’ garlic rolls! Love the blog and read it every day! You’re an inspiration!

Hahahaha! I was thinking the same thing! 😀

How long do your walks usually take?
I really love walking but I have a hard time fitting such long walks into my day. I usually opt out and do a quick interval cardio workout instead.

I write a private blog (more like a diary) often, and I find it hilarious when I find a type-o like I see in yours: I think you meant that you made “home made garlic rolls,” not “hoe made garlic rolls!” Lol, thought you might find that funny! ;-P xo
