Do you ever have days where you don’t feel like doing anything, but you don’t feel like not doing anything? I had one of those days today. It was too pretty not to be outside, so I decided to take Grumples on a drive in the country.
It seems like a silly thing to do, but he loves doing it. He get’s really excited.
His favorite part is sticking his head out the window and growling at the horses or other farm animals we pass.
After every drive, it’s tradition to stop and grab an ice cream cone to share. Yes, I know ice cream is not healthy for dogs, but once in a while is okay and it makes him so happy.
He gets it all over his face like a little kid.
I mean…how can you not?
Tonight, I am going to continue my “do nothing, but something” mood and watch movies while eating popcorn for dinner.
I always air pop my popcorn in coconut oil but I never know what to season or salt it with. Could you do a small post or even just reply here with what some of your favorite popcorn seasonings are? Looks like you had a fun day, you deserve it girl!
That sounds like a great idea!
haha I love those random days. Every once and a while those days are good to have 🙂
Very therapeutic!
Mr. Grumples is adorable! I love seeing him in your posts!
Thank you!:) love him to death!
Taralynn, I love how you incorporate Mr. Grumples into your posts. I am an animal lover and I consider my dog, Gibson, like a child so I completely understand your spoiling! I love it!
I know what you mean! I have people tell me that I need to treat him like a dog…but that isn’t going to happen. He’s apart of my family:)
Oh, Mr. Grumples is such a cutie! And the lazy-not-lazy days are always needed in our life. They can give us so much strenght 🙂
I love days when I go for walks by the water, sit outside and read, or head down to the market. Sometimes those days are needed!
This is my kinda day, actually exactly what I am doing today. Little too much 4th of July/birthday celebrating this week.
I just got my dog and I an ice cream and sprinkled some PB2 on it. She goes crazy over it! Love Mr. Grumples face in those pictures.
I love this post. I have those lazy days where I gotta get out and do something even its a ride along a country road.
Mr. Grumples is adorable. And I agree how you can you not give him a treat once in awhile? I just loved how happy both you and Mr. Grumples looked.
Here in Tampa we have an ice cream shop that sells “doggie ice cream cones.” When my beautiful pup was still here with me (RIP Rusty <3 ) I used to take him to get a doggie ice cream cone. Its basically a small mini cone with vanilla ice cream and instead of a cherry they put a dog biscuit on top. He used to LOVE those.
Awwwww you two are too cute!! And I am guilty of treating my dog too. I like to pick him up a Puppy Cup from Starbucks whenever he’s with me in the car 🙂
I love those random days that turn out to be such great evenings. It feels great to just hang out and not have any worries for the moment and just continue living care-free, even for the moment. Looks like you had such a relaxing and great day.
I love it when Mr Grumples pops up in your posts – you can just tell how much you love him so much and he is so lucky to have you. I also love that you don’t mind spoiling him every so often – you guys make the cutest pair 🙂
