Roadtrip To Dayton Ohio!

I know I fast forwarded last night, but I’m rewinding back to the road trip! Before I take off for another eight hour road trip today, I wanted to post some photos:) Yesterday, I drove to see my brother in Dayton before he deploys. I’m taking off for Iowa this morning to visit my family and get my stuff ready for my move back down South.

Grumples does so well in the car. He actually enjoys it. He switches spots every hour or so.

Halfway through the trip, I needed a pick me up! I was in the middle of the mountains and couldn’t find one gas station!

Finally, I found a Starbucks! It was in West Virginia in the middle of the mountains. I did the happy dance. I ordered a tall quad non fat latte!

About two hours after the coffee, the weather was scary bad! I decided to pull off and grab something to eat while the rain passed. I couldn’t see a thing!

I ordered the oriental chicken salad at Wendy’s. Grumples got most of the chicken (still freaks me out eating any restaurant chicken)

The salad had sesame seeds, edamame, bell peppers, cucumber, and grilled chicken!

The weather finally got better and we took off!

My favorite part about driving is just listening to music, clearing the head, brainstorming ideas, and relaxing. When I’m at home, I feel like I have to be doing something every 20 seconds. In a car…it’s okay to just SIT!

 

This is Grumples favorite spot! Sometimes he’ll sit up and put his head on my shoulder like a little bird. It’s the cutest!

Around 5:30, I made it to Ohio! 🙂
