No Shame In Dog Spoiling: Here’s How I Do It!
I have no shame in spoiling my dog. He spoils me with love, cuddles, and laughs. He behaves so well and I reward him in so many ways for it. Not only do I take him to the park, make him treats, and go on long walks but I buy him and myself all things dog!
I also have a bucket list for him and myself. After I settle down in my own home, I want to make it dog friendly and I love all the inspiration around the internet. I sound like a crazy dog lady…Oh, well! I love accessories and clothes with dog patterns, too. Can you blame me?
How cute is this doggy wash? I need to have one of these put in for my own dog. Mr Grumples has the long curly hair that collects dirt. I wash his paws every time we get back from long walks. Throwing him in the tub can get difficult because he is so big and I spend way too much time rinsing him off. Source
I love this idea because I buy my dog’s food in bulk. I have to buy a certain brand because he has several allergies and I hate storing the large bags in the closets. This is going to be one of the first doggy friendly things projects I start! Source
I love this! My dog sleeps by my night stand every night. I bed he would love a cozy place to crawl into by my bed. Now, I need to find a stand large enough. Source
I could probably DIY these, but it’s much faster and easier to buy them! I think they would be cute gifts for friends with dogs. I could make healthy dog treats and stuff them in! Store

I’m always carrying my dog’s bed around the house where I go. He’s obsessed with being around me and also obsessed with his bed. How convenient would this be? It looks easy to make, too! i’d go with a fun pattern for the fabric. Source
You all know how obsessed I am with colors and patterns. These would go perfect in my kitchen! It would be fun to get different patterns for each season. Source
Mr Grumples is due for a new dog bed. His has been used and abused for almost three years! I love the pattern beds from One King’s Lane.
Mr. Grumples gets a new leash every six months. We go on so many walks and it’s just safer to replace them. They get worn and can easily break. In the fall we do leather one, in the winter we do a red one and in the summer we do patterned ones! One King’s Lane
I love spoiling my dog with subscription boxes. He knows when he gets one in the mail and he opens the box by himself after I remove the tape. It’s the cutest thing! I like Doggy Loot boxes because they are inexpensive and are filled with tons of toys and healthy treats.
I also make sure to buy natural shampoos and conditioners for my dog for baths. He has sensitive skin and only a few products work! Here is my favorite…

Have you ever been to Petco or Petsmart? It’s so fun to take my dog in there and that is where I buy his food, but if you look at the treats, they are always over priced. It’s better to make your own and I always use the Three Dog Bakery’s Cookbook. We used to go there all the time with Grumples and he loved it! I’m so glad they came out with their own cookbook.

As I mentioned before, I’m obsessed with dog patterned accessories like umbrellas, pillows, or sweaters. Call me crazy…I don’t mind. I just ordered the orange umbrella from Pet 360.

These are such cute ideas! I am “adopting” my mom’s black standard poodle, Bear, in May. I definitely need to pick up a dog treat cookbook so I can make his is own desserts! So cute!
I love making Grumple’s treats! Sometimes I cut up sweet potatoes and apples and let them bake into chips! He loves those and they’re healthy for him. Black standard poodles are gorgeous!
That sounds great! I am so excited to have a dog! We would already have him but the apartment I’m in now doesn’t allow any dogs 🙁
Ugh that is the worst! 🙁 I’m glad there are tons of dog friendly apartments out there! We always look for them. If you ever travel with him, I’d recommend the Hyatt, Drury Inn, La Quinta, and Crowne Plaza’s! They are so good to dogs!:)
Those puppy pics of Mr. Grumples are adorable! Thank you for sharing, I’m obsessed with those umbrellas. My god is an English Springer Spaniel but luckily the golden retriever one looks almost exactly like him! Also I laughed longer than expected at the dog eating the cupcake treat.:)
I took so many of him as a puppy! He loves the camera and is used to it by now. And I agree…those eyes on that dog are incredible!!!

My big baby Sirius is allergic to almost everything, so it´s hard to find him some treats. The little punisher is luckily good with everything.
So Grumps is a Goldendoodle. Never seen this breed here in Germany. I´m totally in love. ♥
And I´m in love with the doggy wash! Sirius is truly shower-obsessed.
He even sneaks in, when one of us get´s ready for a shower. 🙂 Ít´s not smart to open the shower doors and leave the bathroom for a second. He´s in.

Ahh! I love your LOVE for your dog!:) It makes me so happy to see happy dogs out there:) Grumples isn’t too fond of the shower, but he’s well behaved once I get him in there! What kind of dog do you have?
My doodle is super spoiled as well, but sometimes you just can’t help it 🙂 Grumples is one handsome, happy dog! I swear doodles are more like people than they are dogs, and it feels incredibly natural to treat them as such. I’m lucky that my pup has no allergies (that I’m aware of!), and he LOVES crunching on fresh fruits and veggies. When I make myself a salad, I make him a mini one as well. He loves carrots, cucumbers, baby spinach, and apple chunks. In fact, there’s not much he doesn’t like, except maybe citrus. This winter, a clementine rolled off my counter, and Jasper quickly snatched it up and continued to play with it like it was a ball…until he broke through and the sour juice hit his tongue. He jumped back from it and just stared at it as if it attacked him. I couldn’t help but laugh!
100% agree! They act just like humans. Sometimes more human than me:) haha
That is so funny! Your dog likes everything that my dog will only eat with sauce. I swear he is a kid. He won’t eat carrots unless they have hummus on them, he won’t he cucumbers unless they have dressing, he’ll only eat apples with peanut butter! But if you give him anything meat related…he’s all in! oh and he loves quest bars. I have to hide them very carefully.
Hahahaha he has very refined taste then, I like it! PB is a staple in our house as well. The second the jar opens, he appears and becomes VERY well-behaved. Do you ever make Grumples “dance”? It’s apparently the poodle in them. Jasper loves standing on his hind-legs, it’s the strangest thing!
PLEASE post a video sometime of Grumples opening his box…I would love to see that, it sounds so cute!!
