Here is the post I promised.
This is seriously the easiest recipe you’ll find on my blog. Only a couple of steps to make the perfect dessert, pre/post-workout snack, gift, or road trip munchies! I am going to make a massive batch of these for my dad, a dark chocolate obsessor, for fathers day.
I ate a couple before my run yesterday. It gave me a little boost of energy. Also, did you know dark chocolate is good for your heart and has antioxidants? I always choose dark over milk chocolate.
These little bites keep your appetite under control!
You will need 1/4 Cup Whole Food’s Antioxidant Energy Trail Mix (You can use any kind of trail mix though), and 3 Tbsp Organic Dark Chocolate Chips.
-In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate chips in the microwave. Make sure not to overheat them, or they will burn.
Microwave 20 seconds and stir. If they have not completely melted after stirring, microwave an addition 10-15 seconds.
On a piece of wax paper, make chocolate circles with a spoon. (approximately 8) It should be the size of a quarter.
Place the trail mix on top of the chocolate drops. Press them down into the chocolate lightly. Let the chocolate bites dry for about 40-60 minutes — place in a refrigerator for faster results.

Tomorrow I’ll be posting about my trip to the farmers market and how I’m dealing with my runner’s knee! I want tonight, but I have to be up in five hours to head to the airport! Look out for those posts! Xo, y’all!
