I am overly excited to introduce you to my new obsession, the aroniaberry. The aroniaberry is a super-fruit that improves health and wellness. It’s not like your ordinary “super-fruit”.
I made a smoothie this morning as a breakfast replacement. I was in a hurry and needed something fast. This smoothie contains more nutrients than any breakfast.
The concentrate is only 50 calories per serving. The concentrate can be easily added to: yogurt, oatmeal, frosting, pie filling, tea, and the list keeps going on.
Ingredients: 1 Tbsp Aroniaberry concentrate, 1/2 grapefruit, 1 Tbsp Chia Seeds, 1 Cup Water, 1 Cup Ice, 1 Scoop Organic Whey Protein Powder.
Add all ingredients to a blender and mix on high. If you want something solid to go with your power smoothie, grab a couple aroniaberry gummies. They are individually wrapped and only 100 calories per package.
To give the glass a cute touch with more health benefits, I added ground flax and organic honey.
The gummies use organic sweeteners and all natural colors. The gummies taste great. You could fool anyone into believing these are candy gummies. I’m sure these would be a hit with kids. My boyfriend, Jeremy is obsessed with them. He’s 26…you get it.
I hear about antioxidants all the time. I understand that an antioxidant is a nutrient beneficial to my body, but what exactly does it do? I logged onto the Superberries website and read their information on antioxidants.
Antioxidants help food slow the oxidative damage to our body. What does that mean? Well, when your body’s cell use oxygen it naturally produces free radicals which can cause damage or oxidative stress. Antioxidants are basically soldiers fighting to protect the damage done by free radicals.
Aroniaberries have more antioxidants than almost all the berries out there. I often here that: raspberries blueberries and strawberries are the highest in antioxidants, but aroniaberries have more than twice the amount of antioxidants in those berries.
If you want more information on this incredible berry and how to get your hands on some of the products, check out Superberries!
