Avocados, The Superman of fruit, or is it the Incredible Hulk of the fruits? After all, avocados are green.
There are many different ways to incorporate avocados into your diet.
It’s one of my favorite super foods.
When I’m baking, I use them as butter/oil replacement.
After coming home from the gym, I pulled out my new “indoor grill” I received over Christmas.
I wanted to create a recipe for the cleanse that was creative and not the ordinary “cold fruit” for phase two.
You can never go wrong with the grill, so I decided to make a warm avocado salad.
I used to grill my avocados to top my veggie burgers with.
This recipe can’t get much simpler. (also inexpensive)
If you don’t have a grill, you can bake the avocados.
All you need:
-Organic Honey
-Small Avocado
-Blueberries
-Ground Cinnamon
Warm grill up to 425 degrees.
Cook each avocado until golden grill marks appear on both sides.
Heat blueberries up in microwave for 15 seconds.
Place avocados over the warm blueberries.
Drizzle lightly with honey and sprinkle with cinnamon!
The combination might sound a little funky at first, but after your first bite, you’ll see why I chose it!
