15 Minute Crispy Orange Glazed Salmon Recipe
One of my favorite go to meals for a feel good, healthy option is easy 15 minute salmon filets. I’m telling you, it’s better than any restaurant salmon I’ve ever had! Perfectly cooked (you better start checking those salmon temps!), flaky, crispy on the outside, and sweet and savory all at once. Gosh, my mouth is watering just thinking about it. We usually have this salmon once a week, and I’ve pretty much stopped ordering it at restaurants because nothing lives up to my favorite 15 minute at home version.

You can use either an air fryer or an oven for this recipe. I personally use my oven style air fryer way more than my oven. It is honestly one of the best kitchen appliances I have ever bought. When I purchased mine, it was over $250, and now it is under $200.
If you have a college kid, or you are in college yourself, oh my goodness, this would make the best gift. I hate waiting for the oven to preheat when I am trying to get dinner on the table, and this little oven and air fryer combo cooks everything so fast. We use it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for my toddler!
But before I had my air fryer, I always made this recipe in the oven, so you can absolutely still do that.
How to Cook Salmon Perfectly at Home
Use salmon filet cuts or larger cuts of salmon. Both work perfectly! I love using filets because you get more crispy edges, and the salmon cooks more evenly. But if you are cooking for someone who likes that chewy, super well done salmon, a larger cut might be better. The center will stay medium while the edges cook through completely. Personally, I love my salmon cooked to 145–150 degrees. Anything over that becomes chewy, thick, and way overdone. I want it to just flake apart!
Another great thing about filets is that you can easily take a few out of the fridge or freezer and cook one or two servings, which is perfect for whoever is eating.

Salmon Recipe so Easy to Make
I line my air fryer rack with tin foil because I hate cleaning up salmon mess when I can just throw the foil away. I place the salmon skin side down, drizzle it with olive oil or avocado oil, add a few tablespoons of low sodium soy sauce, and a tablespoon of freshly squeezed orange juice. Sometimes I use lime instead. Then I top it with Everything But the Bagel seasoning, garlic powder, black pepper, dried dill, and finish with a quick drizzle of honey.
I cook it in the air fryer at 400 for about 8 to 10 minutes. I usually check the internal temperature around the 7 minute mark because I do not want it to overcook. As soon as you take it out, it will keep cooking, so I pull it around 142 degrees and leave the thermometer in to watch it rise to 145 degrees.
Do not forget to spoon the extra sweet honey soy juices over the top. It is so good with the salmon.
Easy Dinner Idea & How to Serve It
This salmon is so crispy, it almost tastes fried on the outside while staying perfectly flaky in the middle. You can also broil it for the last minute or two to make the top even crispier.
I love pairing this salmon with Brussels sprouts, roasted potatoes, butternut squash, or quinoa, or letting it cool slightly and serving it over a fresh goat cheese salad. It is also amazing over white rice with sweet chili sauce, cucumbers, sesame seeds, and seaweed flakes. So many good options!
I never get sick of this salmon recipe, and I have been making it like this for almost ten years.

I made the oven version of this recipe for Christmas, and it was so delicious!
