Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe | Chewy, Gooey, and Crispy!
These are the chocolate chip cookies you see on my Instagram story and recap blogs, and they even went viral on TikTok! I make these cookies just about every week. They are a favorite in our house, and I always have the ingredients. The ingredients are basic and straightforward, which is why I think this recipe is so good. Simple is best, but the taste is far from simple. When you bite into these cookies, it’s everything you ever want in a chocolate chip cookie. It’s crunchy around the edges, gooey and chewy in the middle, and the flavor is magical. I’ve been making these chocolate chip cookies for over twelve years, and I’ve never tried another recipe since.

Warm, Gooey Chocolate Chip Cookies: The Perfect Treat for Any Occasion!
You’ll know when they’re done because the cookies’ edges will look lightly golden, but the middle will look soft. Even if the center doesn’t look done, but the edges are golden, take them out! They’ll continue to cook on the baking sheet for the next five minutes. The soft and gooey middle is the best part of the cookie, so make sure not to overcook them! For the jumbo size, I cooked them about 10-12 minutes long.
Chocolate Chip Cookies are a classic treat that everyone loves! These delicious cookies are made with butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and of course, chocolate chips. They are the perfect snack for any occasion and are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth. Enjoy the classic flavor of these soft and chewy cookies and indulge in the sweet, chocolatey goodness. Yesterday my kids and I made your chocolate chip and cranberry cookies! They are our favorite! We will definitely try these when we run out of the other cookies, so probably later this afternoon. 😂
Those are my favorite, especially in the fall!!!
Whipped these up today and they were delicious! I didn’t think they’d be done after the 10 minutes, but pulled them out and let them bake on the sheet like you said and they were perfect. Thanks for sharing!
I’m so glad you took them out! That is the #1 key to making them taste sooooo good!

Can you use sugar sweeting instead of real sugar for these coot
no rating. haven’t tried the recipe yet. but can I use sweetened chocolate chips? I have no other kind. should I cut back some sugar in the cookies if I use sweetened chips?
Effers right! These things are fire! I’ve made a lot of homemade cookie recipes, but this shit is fucking fire! But I use just a half cup of Milk, chocolate chips just because I can’t imagine chocolate chips, not having any sugar in them. But regardless, they were fire.
The texture is amazing. It’s like crispy coated cookie dough.
Wow best cookie recipe ive made yet
I ate so much of the cookie dough! Cookies were fabulous.
Came out great!
I made these with chickpea flour, swerve brown sugar and white monk fruit sweetener instead of refined white sugar and my family said they tasted like the traditional recipe.
Always a favorite!
The dough is great to work with but my house was cold so I had to wait a little longer for it to rise in the morning
The best cookies!
Yeah saving this recipe for life
These were delicious!
obsessed with this recipe
Best chocolate chip cookie recipe I’ve ever tried. These are amazing and so simple! Thanks!
Thank you so much for the review, Susanna!!
The best recipe I’ve baked in years of baking. Even better than Tollhouse. I could even get more cookies out of the recipe if my husband didn’t eat the cookie dough I put in the freezer.
I finally found a recipe that everyone loves! I now make the dough right before school pickup and place in fridge until I get back and then bake while all the kids play! We are all obsessed!!
Aw!! I love that 🙂 Glad you’re all enjoying!!
These cookies are a favorite. The dough is very tasty, makes the right amount, & it allows you to easily modify add-ins. My preference is less chocolate chips, as the dough is SO good! My theory is, when the dough is good, if baked properly, the finished product will be good, too. I like to add some walnuts here & there. As Taralynn says, the key to baking really is taking the item out before it’s “done” because it continues to cook through once removed. The same as chicken & steak & fish, etc. (This is more a reminder to self as I think of making dinner & how I’m always second guessing the chicken. 🫠) Oh! I almost forgot. I’ve made them with regular unsalted butter & also with Violife vegan butter (because dairy hates me despite how much I LOVE it🥺) & they are still really yummy. Thank you, Taralynn! Now I’m wondering which one of your cookie recipes I should try next…if I can get over these long enough. 😂😂😋
awwww this was such a sweet review, Brandie!!!!
Hello! before I make them, I wanted to ask if they get really crispy on the edges and in terms of sweetness, would you say this recipe is extra sweet, just right, or under sweet? I’m not a fan of sweet cookies so I wanted to double check before I make them or adjust the sugar. Thank you!
As long as they are not overbaked, they don’t get too overly crispy along the edges, take them out before they’re done so they stay softer for you.
Also they are not too overly sweet! If you love a less sweet dessert, try using 70 to 80 percent dark chocolate chips!
Do the ingredients need to be room temp?
They do not need to be, no!
