Now that the warmer weather is here, we spend so much time outdoors! We start our mornings at the park, farms, and on walks, and once we’re all hot, we head over to the pool! Instead of hurrying back for lunch, I love packing food to go. There’s nothing like the pool to help make a toddler extra hungry!
While picking up our household items at Target (and some unexpected dollar spot finds), we also picked some snacks for our snack box!
After being targeted all over TikTok with these viral snackle boxes, I had to order them. I bought about five of them because they are fantastic! I plan to use them for road trips, beach trips, vacations, or just long days out and about. These fit nicely in my cooler, so I can’t wait to pack fun snacks for our beach vacation next month.
Grandma joined us for a pool day, so I packed lunch snacks for our morning and afternoon out!
I tried to keep one box a little healthier for him to eat out of first, and then once he ate enough of the good stuff, I brought out the snacky snack foods. One of the cool things about these containers is that you can rearrange them in any way you want. I had to pull out the chocolate nuts and replace them with raspberries.
Box One:
- Mexican Corn Dip
- Cucumber Slices
- Carrots
- Crackers
- Cheese
- Kiwi
- Raspberries
- Pepperoni & Salami
Box Two:
- Cheese Chex Mix
- Veggie Straws
- Organic Gummy Bears
- Banana Chips
- Annies Bunnies
- Cashews
- Chocolate Covered Almonds
- Orange Slices
The snack box was such a hit! He kept running out of the pool to eat more, and that’s a win for a mom with a toddler who is currently on a food strike. He thought the snack box was so exciting!
I’m ALWAYS looking for new snack ideas for my two-year-old! Let me know what snacks your kids love to snack on!
This is such a great idea! My 4 year old is dipping his toes into youth sports this summer and this will be perfect! Thank you for the great idea!!
You’re welcome, Carly!!!
Love this idea, we spent most mornings out and about so this is a great way not to rush home for lunch. What cooler do you have?
I have a cooler bag from walmart! And I also use the smaller yeti I’ve had for about five years.
How fun! We used to use something similar from Tupperware for pool days when my kids were young. It’s a good way to use up those leftover bits of snacks you have hanging around. You are doing great with ideas! I’d say anything that completes a “meal” is a good idea for the snack box. String cheese, snap peas, shelled edamame, mini peanut butter crackers, popcorn, tuna (or chickpea) salad for dipping crackers in, cereal….that’s all I can think of right now but you’ve got this!!
Yes!
