Even though my career has shifted, I couldn’t leave year 15 of Christmas blogging empty. I have been working so hard on Little Brittle, and it’s been challenging to find a moment to hop on the blog to write. Whenever I’m not working, I try to catch up on things around the house or spend every extra moment going on adventures with our son. I have some time off before market season starts, so I may try to upload more blogs and photos from our summer and fall adventures.
I wanted to share a few photos from our Christmas weekend! 🙂
One of our favorite little evening activities is riding in the push car after bathtime and looking at all the holiday lights in the neighborhood. This has been such a fun age for all things Christmas-y with him!
Christmas tree sourdough bread was a big trend this year that I made repeatedly. This one was for a dinner party at our friend’s house. One of my good friends has a daughter the same age as our son, and it’s been so fun seeing them play with each other. Having mom friends with kids around the same age has been a blessing and has made being a toddler mom much easier.
LOVE these two.
Last week, we visited the Botanical Gardens light show.
On Christmas Eve, I put together a bunch of tins filled with sugar cookies, pralines, and peanut brittle for neighbors.
And we left some out for Santa too!
On Christmas Eve night, we headed out to my parent’s house for football and crab legs. I brought over a charcuterie board, and my toddler (who only eats chicken and rice) scarfed down most of it. I guess I need to start serving him charcuterie style meals.
This oversized sweater from Walmart was the most comfortable Christmas Eve outfit!
On Christmas morning, I started the sticky buns! My mom made these EVERY Christmas morning growing up. They’re quicker than cinnamon rolls, and with so much going on Christmas morning, I think I’m going to stick to this tradition.
Tux thought they looked good too!
I made a few quiches to go with the cinnamon rolls. I love quiche!
Jingle all the Way plays on repeat in our house on Christmas!
Someone was SO EXCITED when they came downstairs on Christmas morning.
I bought these matching dinosaur pajamas for the family since we have a dino-obsessed boy! He loved them and kept growling like a dino when he saw Kyle and I wearing them in the morning.
He is so obsessed with his new Jeep!
My friend, Jhuliana, made the Bon Appetite short rib recipe for us when she had us over for dinner. The dinner was unbelievable, so I decided to use the recipe and some of her cooking tips and make it for my family on Christmas Eve. It turned out amazing, and this is going to be my go-to recipe whenever I need to impress the guests!
We had banana pudding cake for dessert with white chocolate hot cocoa.
My parents got Bugs a new playhouse for Christmas, and he LOVES it! I will put it next to my garden bed in the spring.
I hope the New Year brings you all everything you want! I cannot wait to work harder for Little Brittle and keep growing my small business. I wanted to say THANK YOU for all the support. I was nervous to start a business, especially as a mom, and the amount of support you have all given me has been incredible. My shop opens again next week, and all the Valentine’s Day things will roll out!:) And if you’re local, I hope you visit me at a market this spring! I have met so many of you in person this year, and it’s been so much fun!!!
Merry Christmas everyone!!!!
Happy to see a new blog post! I’ve ordered from Little Brittle several times. I just brought a batch of the vanilla cappuccino flavor to my aunt in her nursing home yesterday. She called me after and said it was the best brittle she’s ever had and it made her day ❤️

Hi Taralynn,
I’m so happy for you that your business is booming. Congratulations! I was curious where you got the gold rimmed champagne flutes you had a picture of?

If you you wouldn’t mind sharing where did you get your sweater in the last picture. It is so beautiful?
Walmart about four years ago! 🙂
Do you know where your parents got that adorable playhouse? It’s so cute! I’m on the hunt for one.
