Hi everyone! I had a few minutes during naptime today where I thought I’d share some photos from our very first mom & dad getaway! My husband had a work event down in Hilton Head, and I decided to tag along with him so I could enjoy a few relaxing days. I know this will be a much shorter blog than what I used to post, but I only have limited time before the little one wakes up. If you’re traveling to Hilton Head Island, I hope this post can bring you some ideas on where to eat, stay, and visit!
We stayed at the Westin Resort on Hilton Head Island. It was stunning and located right on the water.
I stopped at Carolina Coffee & Crumbs for oat milk lattes a few times while visiting.
I loved visiting Harbour Town Pier and exploring all of the shops!
We had the most delicious lunch at Quarterdeck. This is a MUST when visiting. I ordered their blackened chicken alfredo and a chargrilled Caesar salad. We also had their amazing hushpuppies. The food was excellent.
The strawberry ice cream was so light and refreshing. I typically go for a vanilla, but I think this has turned me into a strawberry girl now.
We also dined at the Westin, and the food was really good. I ordered their salmon but was so hungry I didn’t even remember to photograph it.
Another amazing spot was, Nectar! The food was so fresh and flavorful. I had their steak salad, deviled eggs, and Kyle ordered their short rib.
We treated ourselves to some hummingbird cake for dessert!
I went out to explore while Kyle was working. I headed to Harbour Town & Bakery for breakfast before walking the beach. This spot was adorable, and it was under a huge oak tree covered in Spanish moss.
I had their avocado toast with egg and a side of bacon.
Next, I visited the Lawton Stables to check out the stunning horses and beautiful grounds.
I visited the Hilton Head Farmer’s Market and picked up a bunch of produce to take home with me.
I purchased five pints of these stunning blackberries to use in a honey blackberry cake for one of my farmer’s market desserts the following weekend.
After grabbing another coffee, we headed home! 🙂 It was a quick two days but very relaxing! I spent a lot of time by the water with my book and just enjoying the first break I had in a long time. 🙂 I definitely will be back, but bringing my son next time. The entire trip, I was thinking of how much fun he would have had! It’s crazy how incomplete I feel when I’m off on my own!
My husband and I went to Hilton Head Island for the first time a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it! We opted to stay in Bluffton, SC so we could also take an evening trip to Savannah, but it was such a great location for the beaches. We were so sad to leave! We can’t wait to go back!
Hi Taralynn,
I definitely missed the blogs!! welcome back 🙂 This looks like a great mini getaway!
Hi Taralynn!
It´s so nice to have you back here! I´ve been missing you 🙂
It looks like you have a wonderful time! Sending you big kisses from Spain 🙂
I have missed your blogs so much but I love seeing all of your success on the new business.
It’s so nice to “see” you again! I’ve never been to Hilton Head but this post makes me want to go check it out! I’ll be much closer next month when we finally move to Summerville, SC so hopefully a quick trip can be in the books soon. Glad you got some time to relax and reset! I’m sure Bugs was so excited when you got home 🙂
I’m so glad that you and your hubby got to enjoy a quick vacay to Hilton Head, it looks absolutely beautiful there! I bet it was hard not having your little one with you, but it’s so good that you two got to spend some time together just the two of you! 🙂
Hope you have an amazing weekend, friend! 🙂
