Hi, There! I hope you’re having a fantastic week. Can you believe it’s already Wednesday? I wanted to take a break from working on a few other projects and upload some photos of my summer living room refresh! About a month ago, I had the urge to add a ton of color to my living room. I was just sick and tired of how dark space was all the time, and I figured it would a fun change-up for spring. Will I keep this style for a while? Who knows! But it’s pretty fun right now, and it makes me happy sitting in a room filled with color. If you’re a frequent reader here, you know I’m obsessed with bright and colorful things.
I mentioned in my recap post this week that I’ll most likely be moving in the spring. We will begin our looking process at the beginning of the year or possibly play around with the idea of building. I love my place now, but the dogs need a better yard to run in, and we are starting to outgrow it. My goal is to take all of these colorful accents like the rug, the pillows, and the coffee table and bring them into my future office. One of the requirements for our next home is making sure it has two home offices, and all of these accents will be going into it. The next living room I decorate is going to be a bit more subtle, but still cozy. When the home search time comes, I’ll make sure to take you all along with me during the process!
I have gotten a lot of questions about my creamy sectional. I would love to share where it’s from, but I don’t want anyone to make the same mistake I did and purchase it. I thought the style looked great, and it fit my room like a glove, but the couch is not very comfortable, and the quality is not excellent. This couch will most likely go in one of the extra rooms in the next house, and we’ll be on the search for the perfect living room couch. But, the dogs love it 😉
Target, Homegoods, Kirkland’s, Hobby Lobby, World Market, and At Home are my favorite places to buy home decor.
The teal chair is getting a new home, and I’ll be replacing it with a creamy recliner.
I ended up changing out the lampshades to a lighter grey to take away the yellow tint that the light gives off. ♥️ ‘
