Good Morning, everyone!
We are weeks away from Mother’s Day, so if you’re still looking for the perfect gift for mom, I think you’re going to love today’s post. I’m partnering up with Aura Frames to talk about their beautiful and classy smart digital frame that can be controlled all through a simple and easy-to-use app.
Since I won’t be home for Mother’s Day, I treated my mom to the frame early, and I’m making this entire week about her! She was in tears when she saw this frame. I always get my mom a frame with a photo for Mother’s Day, so this was so much cooler because it’s one frame with endless photos! Watching her go through the photos made my day.
Aura is giving my readers $50 off their first order with the code TARALYNN50
I wanted the frame to be set and ready to go when she opened it. I made a cappuccino, sat down, and started setting it all up. Honestly, I thought this frame was going to come with a ton of directions and complicated setups, but it took me less than fifteen minutes to assemble and connect all the photos. The Aura Frame is definitely a gift for anyone! You do not have to be tech savvy at all.
Once you take the frame out of the box, download the Aura Frame App on your phone. You can find it in the Google Play Store or the App Store. You’ll create an account, connect it to your wifi, and start adding photos to your albums! It’s that simple. You can create multiple albums and play them whenever you want.
You can add family members who have the Aura Frame or App to share albums with. While I’m away on my trip, I can add photos to my mom’s frame through the app so she can keep up with me without posting my whereabouts all over social media. It’s all privately shared, and I love that! She can “heart” a photo, and I’ll get a notification. That way I know she saw it!
Since my brother lives all the way out in California and has zero social media, I asked him to download the app and create an album for mom’s frame to add to the gift. Moms love keeping up with their kids, and I love that she can do it all in one place. You can invite as many people as you’d like to the frame, so this would be a fun family gift. I even added cute screenshot notes to the frame, so they aren’t all photos. Some of them are cute quotes!
The Aura Frame has a long neutral colored cord so you can set the frame up on the wall, desk, or a fireplace mantel without having to take it down to recharge it all the time. It comes with wall accessories if you’d like to hang it up.
I went through all of my mom’s Facebook photos and added them to her frame albums. Some of the photos were very old, but they showed up crystal clear on the display and looked so elegant. Because I saved all of the photos to my phone before uploading, I was worried that it would take all of my phone storage, but I found out that I can delete all the photos I saved from my phone’s album as long as I kept them in the Aura Frame App album. I was impressed with this feature.
I’ve never been one for anything digital because electronics are usually bulky and plastic, but this frame was gorgeous! You can put this in any room, and it’ll fit right in. I loved the Ivory with Rose Gold trim color, and they have other design options available! I knew my mom was going to love it!
After setting it all up, I was excited to bring it over to my mom as a surprise! I knew she was going to love it.
I was happy that it was all set up when she opened up the box! She could instantly start going through all the photos. This is a great gift for mom because it’s something she’ll be able to use forever and always change it up. We had so much fun going through the photos together.
Teaching her how to use it wasn’t very hard, but I walked her through the whole process and left her with the direction card just in case she had any questions. There is a FAQ page on the website that she can turn to if she wants to learn more about the frame. The FAQ page also has videos to help walk you through it all.
We connected the frame to her wifi, downloaded the app on her phone, and we were all set to go!
One of her favorite features was the gesture control. You can change the photo with the wave of a hand! You don’t even have to touch the frame or get any smudgy fingerprints on it.
My mom and dad got married in their front yard wearing their military uniforms 32 years ago. She started tearing up when she saw this photo. She especially loved all of the photos of her grandpups. Putting all of your favorite memories in one place is a great way to keep photos organized. It’s pretty cool to show off the frame and your photos when you have guests over.
I promise your mother, grandma, teacher, boss, or any family member will love this gift. I’m also thinking about getting this for my friend who is getting married this fall. It’s unique and classy. My mom put her frame right on the fireplace mantel. We were drinking tea last night watching all of our favorite memories which made us both smile. You can change the lighting settings if you want it brighter or dimmer.
I’m so grateful to have such a wonderful mom, who is also my best friend. Treating her to this frame made my whole day, and I can’t wait to upload photos to it while I’m on my trip! Don’t forget to use code TARALYNN50 to receive $50 off your Aura Frame before Mother’s Day!

Classy and elegant indeed! You’ve got me thinking now… I’ve actually forgotten all about Mother’s Day prep (my Mum is on vacation in Japan, so it’s fair game, haha!)!

Thank you, Charmaine!!
My parents got married 35 years ago (June) as well in their military uniforms during their lunch break (dad Navy, mom Air Force)! They then had a small ceremony in my aunt’s yard a month later before being shipped off.
My favorite memory of my mom is when she makes me fried eggs. Something so simple but she will always drop what she is doing and make me one. Even when I visit her now.
Her hugs also because you really can feel her love when she gives you one. They so loving and embracing. My husband even loves her hugs.
That is insane! Literally almost the same story as my parents 🙂
That is amazing 🙂 What’s better than your mom’s hugs? xo
I always give her flowers or send them, an something else I know she needs or likes… I like the idea of that frame too!
I remember her taking me to my dance classes (Hawaiian) when I was 6 !!
Hi, Violet!
You can never go wrong with flowers!
That is so cute!!:) I lived in Hawaii when I was six! lol
What a wonderful gift. You and your mom look more like sisters than mother and daughter.
Lol we get that a lot.
I could definitely use Aura Frame! I’ve also been looking into getting a polaroid too. Do you have one?
My favourite memory of my mother? Hm…I can list one of them and that was when I was little she greeted me with such joy and love when I got off the school bus, I wonder what came over her because she’s not generally like that.
I do not have a polaroid! lol
Maybe she was just excited to see you!:)
Well it must be a good feeling knowing that you are going to look that good when you get to be her age. Y’all look sooooo much alike and she is GORGEOUS! You should do a blog on her secrets and the do’s and don’t’s of what she has done and learned through the years with her health and skincare! (You know you do have women of all ages reading your blog… *wink-wink*. I’m 38 here! Lol.)
Awesome gift!!!!
Omg lol thanks you Alison! I’ll make sure she sees this comment!!
She swears by walking, washing your face, sunscreen, and she’s used olay for like 30 years!
This is awesome!
I have to agree! 😀
Is it selfish of me to buy this for myself?
Hahaha! Not at all!
My favorite memory of my mom is when we were little she would make the worst Thanksgiving dinner and my dad paid us to pretend it was good!
HAHAHA THIS MADE ME LAUGH SO HARD!
This looks neat!
Does it have to stay charged in the wall?
It doesn’t 🙂 But just like all technology, it’ll need charged now and then! xo
Your mom looks like she’s 30. I hope this doesn’t come off bitcy but did she have you when she was like 15?
hahaha I think that’s more of a compliment than bitchy. She had me at 24!
I am going to get my grandma this!
That’s such a good idea!
Wow what an amazing and special gift! I love that fact you can keep adding photos from anywhere. I always take my mum out for coffee and pastries then give her a bunch of fresh flowers with a gift card from our local plant centre (she loves gardening). My one of my favourite memories of my mum was when, she decided we needed matching tattoos, it was her first tattoo. I couldn’t stop laughing the whole time her facial expressions were hilarious. My mum later explained to me the reason behind the matching tattoos was because I had just been given life changing news, and she wanted me to know she will be there through everything, and she has been since day one. I think my Nana would love this aura frame, as we have a large family (32 grandchildren) which could add photos from anywhere in the world which would allow her to see what we are all up to.
Hi, Harriet!
Thanks so much!
Sounds like you really treat your mom!
How cool is your mom??? Matching tattoos??? AMAZING!
This would be perfect for your nana! Especially if all her grandchildren set up an account and adding photos!
