Sunday Morning Leaves Are Falling

Tino woke me up at 6:30 this morning. Normally, I get annoyed and throw the pillows over my face so he can’t lick it to death, but this morning, I decided to give in instead of fighting him to let me sleep in.

It was chilly out, about 65 degrees with a light breeze that sent goosebumps throughout the body. I had hot coffee in my hand, the sun was peeking up over the trees, there wasn’t any noise from the traffic, and only the chirping sounds from the birds.

Because its going to be a beautiful day, I am going to go to the trails to walk the pups after Mass. It’s not supposed to get higher than 82 degrees. I just want to spend all day outside.

Breakfast this morning: spinach omelet, fresh fruit, and a bagel!

Yesterday, we had so much fun watching the football games. It was the first college football saturday of the year and we definitely celebrated. We had wine, chicken wings, and steak quesadillas. We also took Gatorade shots for every touchdown. Gatorade shots are 1/2 oz curaçao blue, 1 oz grape vodka, 1/2 oz grenadine, and 3 oz sour mix. They are dangerous because they taste so good and can get you into trouble if you’re team scores too many touchdowns.

I definitely went all out this football saturday, but don’t plan on celebrating like that again. I’m too old for that! I’ve never had to take a nap after a football celebration, but yesterday I had to. That’s when you know you’re getting old. I’ve already gotten the football saturday craze out of my system for the season. Next Saturday I’m sticking to water.

Did you guys celebrate college football?

After a lunch full of wings, vodka, and wine…it was only smart to have a fresh healthy salad.

This salad has pecans, avocado, Applegate smoked turkey, tomatoes, cucumber, and Greek balsamic vinaigrette.

Sounds like you had a great long weekend so far! I’m jealous you watched football. I am a huge football fan, but I couldn’t watch football on Saturday because I was trail riding with my family. We have five horses that we take camping and trail riding. It is always a blast. Saturday was a brutal 90 degrees with 100% humidity here in Indiana. We made the best of it though. 🙂 Your salad looks amazing.

It was so pretty today! After church, we went to Chipotle with some friends and sat outside. The wind was gently blowing, the sun wasn’t overpowering…it was marvelous! I was thinking “is this really Charlotte?” haha.

Watched the Wisconsin/Alabama game. Big Badgers fans up here in Wisco. Today took a long walk, and my dad is making a whole turkey on the grill for the whole family to come over and partake in 🙂 Perfect Sunday!

So jealous of your Fall temps! It’s still brutally hot down here in Florida. Can’t wait for it to cool down!

Yay, to me this day was exactly like the Maroon 5 sang: Sunday Morning, Rain is Falling 🙂
Enjoy the warmth while you still can 🙂

Your day sounded like lots of fun! My boyfriend and I watched some of the Auburn game, but it was so nice outside so we went hiking! Last night we went out for date night and tried a new restaurant. We shared a big plate of food, I ate way too much bread (it happens!), and then we went out for froyo! 🙂 Another beautiful day here today so just went for a run. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, Tara!! 🙂
