First off, sorry for the photo quality. I was too tired to get an actual camera out, and so I used my cell phone. I didn’t do as well running today as planned, but I am still happy with my results. I planned seven miles, but only finished 5.8. I took a new path today and it had a lot of hills that I’m not used to. I am going to run the same route tomorrow and try to work on going uphill. I love a challenge and I love getting better at my weak spots. I am going to do my ab workout while Nick lifts tonight and then we are going to play basketball. I love our basketball games because every time we lose, we do sprints.
About an hour after my workout, I made a quick lunch. I had a protein shake, coffee, and swiss egg muffins.
-2 organic large eggs, 1 slice organic swiss cheese, and two whole grain English muffins. (seasoned with garlic powder, sea salt, pepper, minted onion, and italian seasoning.)
The eggs were cooked over easy in a frying pan greased with olive oil on high. The english muffin was toasted in a toaster over with swiss cheese on top. I love when the egg yolk oozes out onto the muffin! Tonight, I’m thinking grilled chicken, cauliflower mash, and green beans!

Why not do some lifting with Nick, by the way?

I hate lifting with guys, I hate a busy weight room…lol I like to do more reps, little weights at home or in a class!

so glad to hear you’re doing good with the clean eating, i didn’t even think youd have a hard time with it at all! such a good inspiration to everyone! and i totally feel you with running the hills– such a killer for sure!
Livi @ Eat, Pray, Work It Out says
I love a good hilly run– but they are definitely hard!!

Have you given any thought as to writing a post relating this new phase of “clean eating” in your life, and how it correlates to your disordered past. If I recall correctly, you wrote briefly a few months back of your eating disorder, and I think this would be a great opportunity to post your opinion on trying to stay healthy after recovery! I am currently a year or so into a firm recovery, but at the same time, I do want to stay healthy somewhat. Obviously, not restrictive in the slightest because I would never want to slip back into that horrid time, but I do want to feel energized! I would love to hear your thoughts on the line between being healthy and being disordered after one has already had an eating disorder! Thanks Taralynn!

Julia, I have the same curiosity. Having been in recovery for about 2 years now it can still be a daunting line between healthy and restrictive and everyone has so many opinions on the lifestyle. Tara, I’d love to hear your take on this as someone who has gone through it as well. Thoughts?

I’m from Fort Mill and training for a half marathon and one of me and my parents’ favorite running trails is McMullen Creek/McAlipine Creek Greenway on Pineville-Matthews Road. I believe its 5.75 miles one way and paved. You should check it out sometime! Love love love your blog!
