I have been busy busy this week, and I can’t believe how fast it went. But that’s a good thing when you look forward to the weekends. I’ve been working on some projects and getting swarmed with work. I haven’t been on top of my blogging game lately, but I’ll try better to time manage the two of them.
I squeezed in some time to stop at the grocery store yesterday morning so I could pick up some ingredients for a dessert tray. I wanted to make Oreo balls, cake balls, and chocolate covered strawberries. I knew I wouldn’t have much time later in the evening to make them all so I did the fillings for the Oreo and cake balls instead of sitting down for my morning coffee. I drank my coffee from the kitchen and caught up on Parenthood. I’m not an emotional person, and I don’t choke up very often, but Parenthood has a way of bringing out my emotional side. I can’t believe there are only four episodes left. It makes me so mad! It’s hands down my favorite show. I’m praying they have some kind of spin off or decide to make more episodes. I feel like I’ve grown up with the Braverman’s and they’ll be out of my life forever. Call me crazy, but anyone who has watched the show will know what I’m feeling.
After spending an hour making the fillings, I headed uptown to work on some things. The day went by so fast that by the time I looked at my clock, it was already five. I still needed to run to the store to get chocolate, head home to make the desserts, and get ready a Scentsy party.
I didn’t think I was going to make it in time, but I did. Emilee helped me dip all the chocolates and decorate them.

I’ll post my cake pop recipe soon.
This was my first scentsy party and it was perfect timing because I needed to get my mom and dad a housewarming gift. What better house-warming gift than a scent warmer?
I ended up sitting around with Lynsey smelling every single Scentsy. And there are a lot of Scentsy scents! I chose the blueberry cheesecake, Bananarama and simply lemon. Because my entire family are veterans, I bought my mom the service and sacrifice warmer. I know she’ll love it. She’ll be too busy moving into her new place in Charleston, so I’m not worried about her reading and seeing this blog post. And if you do see it mom…you’re welcome!
Last night was fun and I’m definitely a new fan on scentsy.
I woke up early this morning to go to a baseball game. While I got ready, I enjoyed a glass of coffee with light cream and eggnog! I look forward to eggnog all year round. I buy the SO DELICIOUS brand of coconut milk eggnog. It’s a lot lighter than the usual eggnogs and you can’t taste the “coconut milk” at all.
I was in a hurry, so instead of making breakfast, I stopped at Dunkin Donuts. I ordered their egg white veggie flatbread breakfast sandwich. It was shockingly good.
It was kind of chilly this morning so we picked up coffees for the game. I normally don’t like coffee from chain restaurants, but Dunkin Donuts has awesome coffee and they have me hooked. I order a medium coffee and light on the cream.
I saw this a lot but waking up early and being productive on Saturday mornings put me in good moods.
After the game, we ran some more errands and then stopped at Jason’s Deli to pick up salads for the Football games. I love Jason’s Deli because you get so much for your money and the food is always fresh. Whenever I go to Harris Teeter and make the salads from their bars, it comes out being so expensive. I’ve paid $20 dollars for a salad there and it was ridiculous. At Jason’s you get tons and tons of fresh salad for under $10. You can get it to go or have an all you can eat right there in there restaurant. You guys already know how much I love Jason’s!
We have the Iowa fan salad on the left and the Notre Dame Fan salad on the right.
I also had a bowl of fresh organic tomato basil with mine. Hopefully the football games turn around because neither team is doing well. But other than that, my weekend is going well. I’ll try to post some more recipes today since I have time.
What are you guys up to this weekend?
Definitely agree with you on the Dunkin Donuts coffee! I think it’s even better than Tim Hortons!
I used to drink Tim Horton’s every now and then when I was living in Detroit, but never liked it! Dunkins is delicious!
I live outside of Detroit and if you’ve ever been to Canada Tim Horton’s is EVERYWHERE!
What a fun filled day! I think you should open up your own patisserie of some sort and be very successful with it.
That would be fun!
I love the Service and Sacrifice warmer! I’ve never bought one of those. I’m not a huge fan of candles and such, but this, I just might!
I need to get myself one now!
I know how you feel about Parenthood! So sad to say bye to the Bravermans!
I know…:(
Your dessert tray looks amazing! So yummy and pretty.
Thank you Dana!!
I have been out and about with the kids all weekend and I also LOVE Jasons Deli!!!!!! I dont get there enough!
Sounds like your love for JD is the same as mine!!!
Parenthood is so good and I am so sad this is their last season! Before the finale I am hoping Julia takes Joel back, Sarah leaves Hank for Mark because we all know she should’ve chose him, and the Luncheonette has an epic band record a deep super personal song. Nevermind I’m starting a petition to keep the show for another season!

I wish we had Parenthood here in the UK, it looks so good!
Looks like you found someone who is similar to you and your likes 🙂
I literally cry during EVERY Parenthood episode. It’s insane… I don’t know how they do it!
I’m so glad to know I’m not the only one who gets emotional over Parenthood. I even cry when they’re dancing around the living room, just because they’re so awesome.
