You know it was a good night when you wake up with mysterious bruises.
Last night, I had a of couple goals. Goal one, have as much fun as possible. Goal two, give zero cares. I was having a crummy night and that got turned around real quick when I met up with the girls for a night out in Charlotte. We did a little pre gaming in Southend before heading to the Epicenter.
Obviously, when you’re going out, you need to be responsible, so all the keys were left behind and we took the train. Plus, the train is so fun. The people watching is incredible and the conversations you overhear are always enjoyable.
My partner in crime^ If it wasn’t for this girl, I’d be tucked away watching Netflix and eating popcorn all night.
We decided on Ri Ras for the night. It’s an Irish pub with live music, dancing, an outdoor hang out, an upstairs and downstairs. Drink of the night? Vodka diet, always. Not only because it’s low calorie, but…okay because it’s low calorie. I’m not afraid to admit it. I’m not a “drink because it tastes good” kind of person. If I’m going to drink alcohol, I don’t want to feel gross the next day. I get asked how I balance a healthy lifestyle and a social one. It’s easy. Eat healthy, drink smartly, eat healthy. Simple. Don’t fall for the late night drive thrus or greasy pizza rolls when you’re drinking.
Another partner in crime^
We just wanted to make sure Ri Ra’s stays in business.
Around two, we were ready to crawl into bed and pass out. I love going out, but I don’t know how some people can do this every weekend or back to back nights. It’s exhausting. The fun kind of exhausting.
