Sometimes working out can be a pain. It’s hard to get in the mood, or you just don’t have time. Here are eight great ways to get active without it feeling like a workout!
Sometimes when I need to get off the couch, I leave my credit cards or cash at home, and walk the mall. My grandpa used to be a huge mall walker; it’s a fun way to get active.
Say what? Yup! Cooking and baking are great ways to get off your booty to get active. Just watch what you’re baking! 😉
I feel sore after hours of deep cleaning. Plus, it’s therapeutic! Vacuum, organize your closet, sweep the floors, scrub the windows…My momma always says “A HAPPY HOUSE IS A CLEAN HOUSE”
Yard work is hard work! Ditch the riding lawn mower and start pushing. Dig some holes and plant some flowers. Rake the leaves. Just get outside and do something!
Not only does it get you off your booty, it gives back to the community. Volunteer to help in your community.
Waitressing, Nannying, working at a gym, etc can be a great way to keep you active. Why not get paid for it?
This is my favorite! I’m a horrible dancer, but I love goofing around and dancing. I love playing just dance, doing zumba, or dancing while cleaning the house.
Skip the escalators and the elevators! Always the stairs! It gets that heart rate up. Oh, and also park far from the entrance in the parking lot!

I am a teacher and my job is really active. I am on my feet all day and do tons of walking from yard duty and running to the photocopier. I also try to fit in more activity by playing along with my kids during gym and recess!

I love these! I think if I started counting shopping as working out my bank balance would take a massive hit though, I definitely don’t need to be able to justify it that easily 😉

My favourite way is definitely grabbing my camera and going out for a long long walk, walking around the city, exploring small streets and shop I haven”t found before. With music in my ears it’s a great way to clean my head a little bit too. And I’m fortunate to live in a gorgeous city, Budapest which I just fall in love with all over again every time.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been sore from playing with my dog. He’s a big dog, so we like to wrestle and he LOVES to be chased.
