Starbucks Date With Mom
Today, I am watching Netflix, relaxing under the heated blanket, and sipping hot tea. It’s the perfect time to catch up on some posts. I have been in Iowa since the Vegas trip. I wanted to take this time and spend it with my family since I won’t see them much. I also had a couple doctor appointments and other personal things to get out of the way. A couple of days ago, I drove up to Des Moines with my mom for a meeting.
After her meeting, we stopped at Starbucks for a coffee and danish. It’s a tradition to always split a scone. We usually get the blueberry but this time got the cranberry orange. I loved it! I know they’re awful for you, but splitting it makes it a little better and I don’t eat them everyday. I also got the Evolution Harvest mixed nuts. My go-to drink is the non fat tall latte with three shots of espresso.
After lunch we ran some errands, shopped a little, and then headed home to make homemade pizza!

I’ve never had a scone from Starbucks (or anything from Starbucks)… it looks so yummy! Splitting it is the way to go!
They’re super yummy! I want to make homemade ones:)
I’ve made homemade scones before using wwww.skinnytaste.com recipes. They always turn out fabulous! 🙂 I made my mom some blueberry one’s for her birthday last year using the Pomegranate Scone recipe and substituting blueberries for the pomegranates. I would highly recommend them! (and they are pretty healthy too if you swap a few ingredients like I did!)
That sounds amazing! Thank you:) I’ll DEFINITELY try that out!
Your welcome!! Let me know what you think or them! I throughly enjoyed mine! 😉
Mmm, looks and sound delicious! I like their scones, too, but I only have them once in a blue moon.

Which one do you get!?
That sounds delicious!!!
Is there a way to x out of the new overlay ads that pop up when I click on a recipe? I just want to make the Chocolate Banana Graham Pie but I can’t get the ad to go away even if I click on it or hit the back button or go thru Pinterest — ahhh! Help!
You just click on the side of the image. It’ll disappear.
What kind of camera do you use? These pictures are fabulous.
Wow, the pictures are amazing!! What kind of camera do you use?
