I promise this will be my last Vegas post! (well I can’t promise)
Sunday, Jeremy flew back to Detroit so I spent the day with Cindy! Before meeting up with her, I worked out at the hotel fitness center. I focussed on weights and strength training . I learn a lot from my workout videos and put them to work in the gym!
After my workout, we grabbed breakfast at Planet Dailies. I ordered another omelet with veggies, fruit, and toast!
After breakfast, we headed to our hair appointments. Cindy got a wash and blow out and I got a trim, wash and blow out! I had three inches of dead hair chopped off. It’s been way too long. Literally. After my hair appointment, I went and got a massage! From a human this time and not a water machine.
After getting pampered we spent the day out on the strip casino hopping and shopping! If you can’t tell by the bags under my eyes, I was pretty tired.
We got back to the hotel around five and decided to eat at Planet Dailies again. It’s just so good! We wanted to eat at Ramsay’s restaurant but the line wrapped around the building. We were way too hungry for that.
I ordered the chicken chipotle sandwich with fries.
Not only am I a coffee snob, but I’m a fry snob. I like my fries to be crispy on the outside and gooey in the middle. These were cooked to PERFECTION!
After dinner, I walked the strip more. I didn’t want to leave Vegas and wanted to soak as much in as possible.
Around 8, I headed back to the room to watch the Oscars, pack and fall asleep. I was already hungry again (happens when I workout early morning) so I ordered a pizza from the Meatball Spot! Nom NOM nom!
I ended up passing out like a baby at 10.
Monday morning, I woke up early and hit the tables with a long island to close out the vacation! Call me crazy but that’s what vacation is for! Doing things you normally wouldn’t.
I boarded the plane at 12:30 and picked up a salad before! It was a pretty short flight. I watched a basketball documentary because I have an obsession with sports documentaries. I also watched another called Running The Sahara.
I got home around 7pm last night and had dinner with my family! My dad made vegetable soup with grilled cheese. He’s been cooking a lot lately! I’m going to spend a week with my family before heading back to Detroit. This will probably be the last time I see them until Fall. Jeremy and I are heading to South Carolina for a new project at the end of the month!

Wow, you wont see you family for so long? That’s sad!
And wow, south California! That’s amazing!

Yup! 🙁 Hopefully they’ll come visit.
But, I’m excited to go somewhere I’ve never been!

This sounds like a great end to your vacation. I’ve never been to Vegas but looking at your pictures definitely makes me want to go. I’ve been following your blog for years and have only commented one or twice, I really enjoy reading about your lifestyle change since I am trying to change my lifestyle as well. You are definitely a motivation as well as an inspiration. I see that you have the Polar watch, do you like it? Does it do a good job of accurately counting calories?

You and Cindy look so darling!!!

Looks like you had a great vacation–my husband and I often travel/vacation with my parents, and I’m really grateful he doesn’t mind (I think?!)
We got married in Charleston, so I have a soft spot in my heart for South Carolina 🙂 I’m excited for you!

Can’t tell you how much I love your blog! Where in SC are you moving to? I go to school in Charleston and I cannot even begin to tell you how amazing the city is…it is like living in a fairy tale. If your anywhere near there go visit- you are going to fall in LOVE! But regardless, SC is beautiful in general! Have fun!

No way! I’m in South Carolina, and it’s awesome! If you’re close to a city, there are so many fun things to do!

This may be random but I don’t have instagram- do you have any clue where to find a bag similar to your yellow travel one? I didn’t see any like that at Wilson’s leather, or anywhere so far. Thanks!

I am going to Vegas next week for spring break! Do you have any restaurant or sightseeing recommendations?
Taralynn McNitt says
Ride their new ferris wheel! If you want the best view, go to the top of the stratosphere, the light show at the bellagio at night is beautiful! If you are going with a group of friends, The ghost bar at the Palms is fun and has a great view! You’ll have so much fun walking the strip and exploring!
