Although it takes a few extra minutes to chop everything together; it’s worth it! Chopped salads have so much flavor. When I have big chunky lettuce or vegetables in my bowl, I usually have one flavor launching at me in a bite. With chopped salad, I can fit more ingredients on my fork to get a powerful punch of flavor in every bite.
In my chopped salad : *1/2 tomato, *1/4 avocado, *1 medium cucumber, *1 tablespoon no sugar added dried cranberries, *3 cups iceberg lettuce salad blend, (with cabbage and carrots) , *2 cups spinach, *1 orange bell pepper, *1 tablespoon almonds sliced, *1 tablespoon pecans chopped, *1 tablespoon Italian dressing,(or your choice of dressing) *2 large egg whites, and *1/4 cup green onion.
You can use a knife or kitchen scissors to chop the salad! Throw it all in a bowl and eat up.
Martha says
Do you just beat the egg whites and stir in?
Taralynn McNitt says
The egg whites are boiled, and then I chop them after removing the egg yolk.

How many does this serve?
