This morning for breakfast I needed something sweet and creamy! Instead of using the usual skim milk I substituted it with unsweetened almond milk and instead of dark chocolate chips I used Sunspire Vegan Chocolate Chips. The swap tasted better than the usual! I preferred this vegan twist for sure.
All you need:
- 1/2 Cup Dried Whole Grain Oats
- 1 Cup Water
- 1/4 Cup Unsweetened Almond Milk
- 2 Tbsp Vegan Chocolate Chips (I used Sunspire Brand)
Microwave dried oats and water in a glass bowl for 2 minutes. Add milk to give it a creamy texture and mix well.
Add chocolate chips and stir slowly or your entire bowl will be chocolaty. I prefer mine creamy with a chocolate surprise bite instead of every bite full of chocolate.
This was a super fast breakfast and can be prepared in 4 minutes. The days when you are rushing out the door you could whip this up and put it in a to go cup for the road. It’s also budget friendly for the vegan diet. You can make 19 bowls for $8.00 which is almost three weeks worth of breakfast.
