Sweet and savory grilled burgers made with ground beef, turkey, cheddar cheese, onions, soy sauce, and brown sugar. These juicy teriyaki burgers are packed with flavor and perfect for summer grilling.
In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, Better Than Bouillon beef paste, and brown sugar until combined.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, ground beef, chopped onion, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, black pepper, and teriyaki sauce mixture. Mix until evenly combined.
Form the mixture into 8 equal sized burger patties. Sprinkle the tops with extra black pepper.
Place the burgers onto the hot grill and cook on each side until the centers reach 165 degrees. For extra charred burgers, make sure the grill is very hot before adding the patties. The sweet teriyaki sauce will caramelize and create a delicious glaze on the outside.
Serve on warm buns with crisp lettuce. For extra flavor, butter the buns and grill them until golden and crispy.
Notes
You can use all ground beef, all ground turkey, or substitute ground chicken.
These burgers can also be cooked on a stovetop skillet if you do not have a grill.
