Ingredients

  • 1.5 Pounds Pork Sausage
  • 1 Cup Chopped Celery
  • 1/2 Large Chopped Sweet Yellow Onion
  • 12 Ounces Herb Seasoned Cubed Stuffing
  • 32 Ounces Chicken Broth

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F
  • In a large skillet, fry the sausage until cooked through. Transfer the sausage to a separate bowl, but leave the remaining grease and browned bits in the pan.
  • Add the chopped celery and onion to the same pan. Cook until the vegetables are tender and the onions start to turn slightly golden.
  • Once the vegetables are cooked down, add the sausage back into the pan and cook for an additional minute to combine the flavors.
  • Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish (I highly recommend using glass or ceramic) and pour in the bag of stuffing cubes.
  • Pour the sausage and vegetable mixture over the stuffing cubes. Gently fold everything together. Then pour about ¾ of the chicken broth evenly over the mixture. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the foil, pour the remaining broth around the edges, and bake for another 15-20 minutes — or until the top and edges are lightly golden. You can give it a gentle stir halfway through. I like to do this to help get the center cooked evenly.
