1/2 Cup Unsalted Butter 1 Cup Sugar 2 Large Eggs 3 Medium Extra-Ripe Bananas 1 1/2 Cups All-Purpose Flour 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon 1/2 Teaspoon Salt 2 Teaspoons Vanilla 1/2 Cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
In an electric mixer, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in bananas.
Mix in the eggs and vanilla extract until fully combined.
In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients in the mixer, mixing until just combined.
Stir in the chocolate chips gently with a spatula (or walnuts)
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Bake for 50–55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack. Slice and enjoy!
