Happy Friday!
I just put Bugs down for a nap, meaning I have approximately 45-minutes to get this blog post written. It will be a short one today, but I wanted to at least get something up on the blog before the long 4th of July weekend! We usually have people over, but definitely keeping it low-key this year, and as lame as it sounds, we’ll probably be in bed before the fireworks start. I doubt we’ll be able to sleep through them, but I’m all about sticking to the newborn schedule.
This week flew by! Even though it felt like everything was on repeat, which is sort of was, I still wanted to do a small recap blog!
If you follow me on Instagram, you saw me post these wraps daily. They are easy to make, and I love having them for lunch. They are the Tumaro wraps with jalapeño cream cheese, turkey, avocado, lettuce, and sometimes mustard!
We have successfully made it out on our early sunrise walks. Now that Bugs is sleeping 6-7 hours straight, I feel much more energetic and love lacing up the shoes and going for a walk with him and Leo. We do anywhere from 2-3 miles. It all depends on the humidity!
My hydrangeas are in full force this week! Remember when I planted these the first week we moved in? I can’t believe it’s their third summer.
In ten days, it’ll be our one year with sweet Tux! I cannot believe how much he’s changed in a year. We love him so much, and I love the relationship he and Leo have formed.
Ilios for dinner! We are still loving this delicious Greek restaurant located in Baxter Village!
This meal was blog-worthy! I made air-fried almond flour chicken fingers, homemade pesto, creamy garlic tomato sauce, and spaghetti squash! 😋
More wraps, walking, gardening, and ending the day with delicious protein crunch bars!
One of my neighbors gave me a struggling lemon tree at the beginning of spring, and it’s now THRIVING! I can’t wait for more lemon babies.
I love when a forgotten dahlia bulb pops up!
I made a vanilla peanut butter version of the protein crunch bars! I’ll do a blog post on them soon, but we cannot get enough of them!
Steak salad with avocado, lettuce, cucumber, greek dressing, almonds, blueberries, and cranberries!
I’ve also been loving protein oats on repeat this week! I always go back and forth between these protein oats and smoothies!
And a Sunday date at Good Life Organic Kitchen ♥️
I knowwwwwww this was not a typical recap, but better than nothing! Sometimes I need to hop on here to say hi, and honestly, I don’t have that much time in-between his naps. I’ll be back next week with a 4th of July recap! I do plan to make some yummy recipes this weekend.
Have a great holiday!
Questions for you!

Hi Taralynn,
1. What lunch have you been eating on repeat lately?
I’m not really having any specific food on repeat, but I’ve been hooked on iced tea with basically every meal this week! I like the tazo unsweetened iced tea (the hibiscus one is wicked good!!)
2. Do you have any favorite flowers that are popping up in your garden?
My dahlias are blooming like crazy! I’m confusing with my climbing roses though. I feel like if I keep deadheading them, they will never grow enough to cover the arbor…I’m a new rose mom…am I just being a worrywart?
3. What are your 4th of July plans? My sister in law is having a cookout on Sunday and we are keeping things low key on Monday. Not sure if we will go to the fireworks yet…it interferes badly with the 13 month old’s bedtime!!

Hi, Kat!
Yum! I love that one. I like to brew it outside with raspberries and lemon and have it over ice.
Ahhh dahlias are stunning! Mine are finally starting to bloom.
That sounds like a un 4th! I finally get the bedtime thing 😆 Luckily, bugs slept through the entire neighborhood show!

I’m also on a huge wrap kick lately! I need a video of how you do yours – they look so much better than mine!
Taralynn says
I can definitely do that!
