Happy Friday!
I promise not to make a habit of Friday’s weekly recaps. Starting next week, I’ll be going back to the regular Monday schedule. Once I get off track, I have a hard time getting back on, but I’m determined to do it. It’s hard to document a lot that has been going on lately because I’ve been getting everything done for the wedding, which I’ll share all of those blogs afterward. So for now, it’s just gardening and food for the recaps 😊 I have about an hour before I have to get off this couch and get ready for a neighborhood ladies’ night this evening. Let’s start with these Jalapeno pepper jack turkey burgers. I have been making these for the past few months and cannot get enough. It’s just ground turkey, pepper jack cheese, chopped jalapenos, and my favorite seasonings. I like to wrap them in lettuce wraps and top them with Tessamae’s habanero ranch. This past week, I haven’t been able to stop eating this combo! It’s the Wymans fruit bites with pomegranate seeds and coconut water! It doesn’t sound like an exciting combo until you try it. I have this twice a day now. It’s amazing! You can find these fruit bites in the frozen fruit section at the grocery store. I cannot wait to snack on these all summer when it’s 100-degrees outside. The coconut water turns the frozen fruit into a slushy texture. I got lazy for dinner and ordered Napa Kingsley! I had their salmon, broccoli, cous cous, and brussels sprouts while watching the Bachelor’s season finale. Tuesday afternoon walk followed by oven-baked crab cakes! I pick them up at the seafood counter at Earthfare. They’re so tasty! On Wednesday, I made these delicious Frozen Fruit Truffles to keep in the freezer to snack on throughout the day. They’re so good! Next time I make them, I use all bananas since I think they freeze the best. They’re still soft when you bite into them like ice cream. I’ve loved my afternoon Dirty Chai Tea lattes! ♥️ We had crazy tornado weather on Thursday! Luckily, it cleared up later that afternoon. I stopped by Lowes that evening to pick up a few plants for the border. And we finally got a Rumba. The dogs aren’t too sure about it yet…Friday night Turkey Meatloaf and crispy sweet potato fries! These 75-Calorie Cherry Pie Bowls were a hit on my TikTok. I have been making them for the past ten years! It’s one of my mom and i’s favorite treats. Zucchini Pizza for lunch on Saturday! And we had low-carb chicken nuggets for dinner! Chai tea and the sunset ♥️ Leo had a little playdate on Sunday! He looks so different with his haircut. For dinner, I had kale salad with garlic vinaigrette, cranberries, blueberry goat cheese, avocado, chicken nuggets, and pecans! 😋 I also made my favorite 3-ingredient brownies 😋 Another hit! 85-calorie blueberry pie bowls ♥️ I know this was NOT much of a recap, but as I always say…” it’s better than no recap!” I’ll be back to the normal blog next week! xo xo xo

Nice to see you enjoying spring! ❤️✨ No plans for the vaccine for me yet, where I live there aren’t a lot of cases so it’s not urgent! 🙂

We are going to make all three of these treats! My daughter has gotten super into baking and these look like the perfect little treats for her to try out! Thanks so much! Also, have you posted a pic of your house with your garage door painted? I keep searching through the blog, but cant seem to find a pic. I love seeing all the updates you have done! And all of your flowers have me so jealous! The snow is just now melting here in Maine and I cant wait for everything to turn green again! I have so many new garden ideas I want to try out this year! DO you have any forsythias? They are the first to bloom here and bring a gorgeous yellow to the garden!
Taralynn says
Hi, Victoria!
Yes! 😊 I hope you have so much fun making these little desserts!
I don’t have any Forsythias in my garden, but I did photograph a house a few years ago while walking through the park! I thought they were so pretty!

Hi Taralynn,
Loved the recap! We started cleaning up the yard here and planted a few plants and flowers! I did get the vaccine ( was able to through work). Wasn’t bad! My second dose I didn’t feel well for about 12 hours and then I was fine! We’re waiting for my b/f to become eligible so he can get it too!
Have a good week!

1. Weekend plans were hanging out with my fiancé and wedding planning!
2. I have an appointment scheduled for my first dose of the vaccine this week! I can’t wait (never thought I would say that about a shot!).
3. My favorite healthy treat is Sumo citrus! I know you can get them at Trader Joe’s. They are expensive but sooooo yummy!!!
Quick question for you! My fiancé and I are adding some things to our wedding registry. I saw that you just got a Roomba – would you recommend that over a Dyson (I couldn’t find the post but I believe you had also tried one of those)? We each have a dog, so I imagine there will be a lot of fur in our new house! Thanks!
