Blue Floral Jumpsuit | Perfectly Cute & Casual For the Weekend + Office Makeover Sneak Peek
I just finished packing for our weekend trip. We’re driving down to stay at a bed and breakfast (one of our favorite things to do) to celebrate Kyle’s birthday this weekend. Our time will be spent relaxing on the beach, drinking coffee on the porch, reading in the hammock, and eating as much seafood as we can. I’ll be bringing my blog camera to capture all the places we grab food at and spots we visit along the way. We have a few lighthouses, biking, and kayaking expeditions on the list. I’m excited to visit Beaufort, Bluffton, and Hilton Head! If you have any suggestions, let me know! I’m also sharing a small office update for those who don’t follow over on Instagram. I’m hoping to have it completed in the next few weeks!
I bought a few outfits for the weekend trip, and one of my favorites is this jumpsuit! I purchased it in two colors and it’s the most comfortable jumpsuit I’ve ever owned. I’m on the taller side (5’8) so jumpsuits usually never work for me. The fabric is so light and it can stand up to the southern heat. I purchased it at Red Dress Boutique.
💜
I know I haven’t written a recap blog in a while, but I’m taking a break for a bit. I’m almost done completing my office! I’m loving how it’s turning out so far, and I can’t wait for it to be completed. I’ll be sharing a big reveal and giving all the details about paint/art/and wallpaper.
Another little sneak peek!
I hope you all have an amazing weekend. 😊
Questions for you!
- Are you giving any rooms in your space a makeover?
- What is one thing in your office you use the most?

I just added a sunroom to my home. It is my favorite space right now.
I made a craft desk a few years back and it has been the best addition to my office space. I am loving your colors and wallpaper.
That jumpsuit is so darling. I am taller too and never thought I would wear a jumpsuit, but I own 2 now and LOVE them! Enjoy your trip!!
Taralynn McNitt says
Thanks so much, Pamela!

We re-did all our floors early on in lockdown, and have had my in-laws helping us makeover the garden. It’s given me the appetite for it though and now I want to repaint the living room and makeover the bathroom too!
I’m on maternity at the moment but when I’m working I love a really nice notepad- I feel like a good pad helps keep my handwriting neat (dumb, right?!) and it helps me take better notes! Related to that I love to find a pen that feels good to write with
Taralynn McNitt says
Wow! I bet they look great.
Not dumb at all and maybe that’s why my handwriting can get so darn messy! lol

You look GORGEOUS in that jumpsuit. I love seeing you in your BLUE styles this summer Taralynn!
This is a little silly but we happened upon a new entry mat this week at the store and just grabbed it. It’s a tiny thing but it changed the personality of the front entrance. I’m so happy we did that and now I want to do 1 more thing to the porch to spruce it up for fall but I haven’t decided just what yet.
We haven’t fully set the office/library up yet since we moved in this winter but it’s on my fall to do list so I will be following your reno posts and would love to see updates this fall as you continue decorating and change things in and out as inspiration for me to go through the pain of unpacking the rest of our space.. WHEN we set it up the thing I’m most looking forward to is the whiteboard wall calendar. I use dry erase markers to mark vacations, birthdays, appointments, work days, friend dates and local outings we’re taking, property tax due dates etc so that my husband can check to see “if we’re doing anything” when he’s making plans on his own. I can see at a glance and a month in advance when I need to get gifts for people or send cards or call etc. Having it on the plan and physically writing stuff from my planner up there puts in all on my radar and helps me see where our weeks will be heavy or light when we’re making other plans or balancing down time and events, especially in busy months like December!
Enjoy this weekend- take so many photos to share!

That is so sweet, Jenny!!!
That’s not silly at all. You can’t go wrong with new fall decor!!
Sometimes you havee to be in the right mindset to unpack! Totally get it.

Your jumpsuit is stunning!! Can not wait so see your office reveal it looks so pretty from your sneak peak photos.
We’re not making over any rooms ant the moment, but over the weekend we gave our vegetable patch a transformation and put in a new raised garden bed, and made a small deck for our potted herbs with a cute table and chairs to have coffee at in the mornings. The one thing I use the most in my office is my 1930’s filing cabinet, I found it on the side of the road with a “free to a good home” sign attached. I hope you have an awesome weekend away!
Taralynn McNitt says
Hi, Harriet!
Thank you so much 😊
I bet that looks so cute! I’ll have to check your Instagram to see if you posted the photos! You’re always up to the coolest things.

The jumper is beautiful! The paint is perfect! I’m trying to sort out what to do in our office–I really love the wainscoting you have in there. Your work on your new house is inspiring us in ours for sure. 🙂 For my ‘office’ space (more like: computer plus daybed room plus vanity room I don’t know it has no name) I was thinking of going with a blush pink. That wallpaper sneak peek though is gorgeous, I want it! It would look lovely in a bathroom too. I can’t wait to see more! Hope you have a lovely trip.
