It’s hard to believe that in a few days the year will be over. I’m still trying to figure out where the time has gone, but truly looking forward to the new year. There are so many exciting things happening, and I can hardly wait. The new year is going to have my mind preoccupied with the new home and the wedding, but I want to make sure I’m still focused on being better, not only for me, but also for the planet. I’m so excited to partner up with Dropps today to talk about their eco-responsible and economical products. Dropps pods are cost-effective and a great way to start becoming more sustainable in 2020.
A few days ago, I had my yearly skin appointment. I thought I was going in there to have my spots looked at, but I walked out of there with a few diagnoses I didn’t realize I was dealing with. I have hyper-sensitive skin that was causing eczema, and on top of that, I have mild rosacea on my face.
Along with medication from my doctor, he also had a few other requests for me. He asked that I stop using anything artificial. He asked me to cut out any soaps, detergents, and lotions that contain unnecessary fillers, dyes, additives, or colorants. This is why Dropps is so fitting for me, and I’m looking forward to incorporating their products into my daily routine.
I’m excited that Dropps carry so many great products that I can start incorporating into my cleaning routines, not only for my skin issues but also for a cleaner and healthier earth. They believe that if enough individuals and families took simple steps to replace everyday products that are both eco-responsible and economical, it could lead to a measurable impact on the planet. Dropps come in eco-responsible packaging, which helps eliminate single-plastic use, something I’m going to focus hard on in 2020. The packaging is compostable and recyclable.
Dropps is a company I can get behind, and I love that they are partnering with Oceana, one of the largest international advocacy organizations dedicated to ocean conservation. They understand the importance of educating consumers on the impact of their actions and choices and encourage them to care about the massive global plastic pollution crisis.
You can swap out your toxic cleaning products that are full of plastic with products that are safer for you, your family, and the environment. The best part? They cost less than what you are using now! Dropps has terrific products such as; sensitive skin laundry detergent, stain & odor laundry detergent, baby laundry detergent, oxi booster pods, and dishwasher detergent pods.
I love how these Dropps look in the laundry room, and they are a better replacement for the big plastic tubs of detergent. I plan on putting mine in big glass jars on the shelf.
Dropps are safer, biodegradable, plant-based, and are NEVER tested on animals. One of my favorite parts about the Dropps is the scents. I couldn’t stop sniffing the boxes because they smelled so fresh and airy. Dropps are scented with natural essential oils.
Most people don’t know that the slot inside the washing machine (where you pour your detergent) holds almost four times the amount of detergent that you actually need. It leads you to itchy skin from too much soap and going back to the store more frequently for cleaning products. I love Dropps because they are so convenient. You simply add one pod to one load. You don’t have to worry about measuring, pouring, or unwanted messes. And the convenience doesn’t stop there. Dropps are delivered directly to your door! You can buy them whenever you want with our without their subscription. Don’t forget to use my code TARALYNN to save an extra 30% on your purchase!
Dropps also carry laundry pouches for your pods. I’ve never heard of these until learning about them through Dropps. You place the detergent pod inside cold water washing pouch and zip, place washing pouch directly into the washing machine drum, load clothes on top, and start your cold-water wash cycle! This helps the pod from dissolving too quickly.
And if you’re a fan of dyer balls (newbie over here!), Dropps carry XL wool reusable dryer balls. They come in three different colors that you’ll match your load. The dryer balls help reduce wrinkles and ensure that clothing is snag-free!
I’m so excited to make better choices with my products and shop more sustainable in 2020! I love it when companies get behind making this planet a safer and healthier place for all the years to come. Almost everyone in my family is getting these Dropps in their stocking from me this year! 😊 Don’t forget to use my code TARALYNN to save an extra 30% on your purchase!

If I had a dryer I would definitely buy one of those dryer balls! (and keep them away from any cat/dog I know)
Do you pay attention to the ingredients in your cleaning products?
Yes! I have migraines and anything I inhale can be a trigger. I use natural products to clean my house and a natural laundry detergent.
What is your favorite laundry scent?
Probably lavender. I tried fun scents but, really, lavender is the only one that smells clean.
What do you want to be better at in 2020?
I already make efforts but in 2020, I want to adopt a greener lifestyle. I just moved in a new apartment, so, new place, new habit!

Hi, Elisa!
Ha, yes! Leo has had his eyes on those dryer balls! I’m sure the cats would love it, too!

I didn’t even know something like this existed and I also have sensitive skin so I’m beyond excited to try this! I’ve been following your blog since you lived in Chicago and I love that you only use things you absolutely love or are invested in. I’ve taken your advice on the Sunshower farms Kona coffee; it has been Christmas presents for the past two years for some family members. Your Oreo ball recipe, I made it for a Christmas cookie exchange this year and everyone ate them up quickly. Gnocche recipe. I don’t cook (I burn water basically) but my husband makes me make your recipe since it’s difficult to mess up and so tasty!
Anyways, thank you for all your hard work and opening up over the years! I look forward to what you share in the new year and have a Merry Christmas!
