Happy Monday! 😊
I’m having a late start to my day. Kyle and I traveled to New Jersey over the weekend to celebrate his best friend getting married. It was one of the most elegant and fun weddings. I’m feeling it after spending the night dancing and having a few too many glasses of wine, but that’s what weddings are all about. I’m excited to catch you up on my week (if you haven’t been watching vlogmas!)
Before I get started and go back a few days, I wanted to share the link to this blue velvet maxi dress. I had SO many people sending me messages about it on Instagram. It’s probably one of my most favorite dresses I’ve ever worn and the perfect winter wedding dress. It was a blast to dance in, and it was so comfortable that I felt like I was wearing a bathrobe. (Here is the link if you want to check it out!) And the shoe details! (link here!)
I didn’t take many photos throughout the week because I was so preoccupied with getting footage for Vlogmas. I need to be way better about it! The only reason I took this photo was that Kyle asked me what I was up to, and I didn’t feel like typing. Does anyone else do that?
After a nail appointment with my friend Emily and a trip to the mall to grab a dress, I headed over to Whole Foods to pick up a few things for dinner. We ended up having salmon that night! I did find a big bag of coconut shrimp at Whole Foods, which is my FAVORITE! I usually don’t get it because it has white flour, but this one was entirely gluten-free. It’s probably the best coconut shrimp I’ve ever had. We have been throwing a few pieces in the air fryer to go with our dinners all week. They sell it in their seafood section, and I highly recommend it.
After spending the other half of my days getting my work done, catching up on other essential things, and preparing for the trip, I finally took another photo! 😆 Kyle wasn’t too happy with the tofu on my pizza, but I was over the moon! Plus, that meant more for me. This cauliflower crust tofu pizza was to die for. I filmed the process of vlogmas. I pre-cooked the tofu in the air fryer, and then added it to the cauliflower crust with sauce, Daiya cheese, and air-fried zucchini. It hit the spot!
Every night last week, I ended my day in a super hot salt bath. Remember when I said I threw my back out by skipping during the vlogmas intro? I wasn’t kidding. I was in so much pain all week while my rhomboid strain healed. Luckily, it only took a little over a week, just in time to dance at the wedding!
After packing and dropping off the dogs with my parent’s, I made a quick chicken and veggie stir fry before heading to bed. We had an early morning of travels!
Oh, and we’ve been watching The Morning Show & Servant! Both Apple Tshowsow and they are so good!!!
Want to know something crazy?
Guess who is NOW drinking coffee? Yup, Kyle! I feel like we can relate so much more now 😆
I was so hungry when we landed in Jersey, and sometimes plane rides make me super nauseous, so I decided to stop into Green Point Juicery and grab the most ginger-y smoothie they had. Ginger always helps! This one had cucumber, kale, spinach, celery, lemon, and all the extra ginger.
When we got to the hotel, it was time for me to get vlogmas uploaded, and kyle headed to the rehearsal!
And juice wasn’t going to do it for me. I need actual substance, so I headed downstairs to grab a chicken salad out of the hotel’s fridge in the cafe. I also ended up grabbing a bag of dijon kettle potato chips (the best chips I’ve ever had…holy molllllly).
After getting vlogmas uploaded, I headed to the bathroom to get ready for the rehearsal dinner. I did the whole “get ready with me” on my vlogmas!

We were so tired by the time we got back to the hotel, but the rehearsal dinner was a blast.
We were out sleeping by midnight!
We headed downstairs for coffee and breakfast before starting the day. Kyle went to the gym, and I headed back to the room to edit vlogmas! After that, it was a quick trip to TJmaxx so I could grab some gloves and a new scarf. I forgot how cold the north is! 😆
I’ve never been a big makeup person, but lately, I’ve loved it. I think it’s because I’ve watched way too many Jeffree Star and Shane Dawson videos this past month. The foundations, concealer, and powder I’ve been using is Bare Minerals!
The wedding was breathtaking, and I’m so happy for Ethan & Lauren.
My forever wedding date! ♥️
Listening to Kyle give the best man speech was the highlight for me. He killed it!
The next morning was not so much fun for me, but it was so worth it. Luckily our flight wasn’t until 2, so I had some time to recoup a bit.
By the time we got to Charlotte, it was 5 pm, and I hadn’t had water, coffee, or any food! I tried my hardest to sip ginger ale on the plane, but I was afraid of getting sick again. Luckily, I was feeling better by the time we landed. The only thing I wanted was an order of smash fries from Smashburger! They are french fries cooked with olive oil, rosemary, and garlic!
When we left for the trip, they started framing; now they are getting ready to pour the concrete. It’s so fun to see it all happen finally!
In about four and a half months, this is going to be a house. I cannot wait! If you have any favorite furniture companies, make sure to tag me on their social media. We are in the process of choosing things like wallpaper, lights, furniture, and all the other fun details!

I think my favorite parts of weddings would be listening to the speeches, and getting to talk to the bride/groom- it’s such a big life event and is so special!
Arbonne 100%. I’ve been using their products and became a consultant and absolutely love it. It’s all vegan, and the company bans over 2,000 ingredients from their products! They really are the best because they’re so clean and good for you.
I know it’s spendy, but I LOVE looking through Anthropologie’s furniture. I haven’t seen furniture anywhere else like it!
Taralynn McNitt says
ughhhhh I LOVE everything about Anthro!!! whyyyyy does it have to be so expensive lol

Wow they are moving so fast with your build! Love the dress you wore to the wedding its stunning. My favourite part of a wedding is the reception when everyone is enjoying them selves and dancing the night away. At the moment I am using the Natio bow kit and loving it, so natural looking, its the only make up I have been putting on each day for the last month. We just go a new couch for our media room from a local funiture maker, we had them customise it into a pull out sofa queen size bed to turn the room into a extra bedroom when needed. Absolutely loving vlogmas !! so into the Christmas spirit now, we just put up our real tree, and completely decorated it. Hope you have a fantastic week!!
Taralynn McNitt says
Thank you so much, Harriet!
The best part for sure! ❤️
Putting up the tree is the best way to get into the spirit!!

your nails look so pretty in the picture where you are talking about your makeup. What color are they?
Also, you’re looking so great lately! What have you been doing for fitness?
Taralynn McNitt says
Thank you!!! For fitness, pretty much nothing other than walking! I play tennis now and then but that’s about it. I think the less stress on my body has been the best thing for me.
I wish I knew the color of my nails! I had them done at a salon here and they use a color wheel instead of the bottle.

I love seeing the house progress– it’s so exciting!
I’m not much for makeup usually, but for skincare, I’ve lately just been absolutely loving cocokind. I feel like in the couple of weeks since I’ve been using it, my skin is already so much different/better. It seems counter-intuitive to put oil on your skin to cleanse it, but it works for me and I haven’t really had any random breakouts. 🙂
I’m probably a nerd but my favorite part of a wedding are the group line dance-style dances, like the cha cha slide and everything. I know them allll too well, lol.
Taralynn McNitt says
Thank you, Krista! We are getting super excited.
I will have to look into it! I love new products, especially natural ones.
Hahaha not nerdy at all. WAY TOO FUN!
Courtney says
Best part about a wedding is if it’s not yours! We got married this past spring, and while everything was perfect and everyone had a great time, we wished we were guests at our wedding rather than the ones hosting. We would’ve had so much more fun, ha! Check out the Lovesac sectionals. I love them, and they are so easy to move and rearrange, and add to if needed.
Taralynn McNitt says
I hear that a lot! But I’m sure your wedding was beautiful and so special 😊
Brenda says
We travel alot too and I sometimes get nauseous. I always keep a small bag of food (nuts, bars, single protein powder packets) with me just in case things get later than usual or you just don’t have access to food. Happens all the time when flying. I also carry ginger chews with me (always in my glasses case so always there) so that I have a bit more control in case my stomach is a bit upset. Helps on cruises too. I feel like sometimes just knowing it’s there in case I need it mentally helps! I have even kept the to go packets with pickled ginger from sushi places in my bag just in case. If you don’t like ginger, peppermints can help, too.
Taralynn McNitt says
Thank you so much for all of those tips, Brenda! I love ginger chews so I’ll start bringing those with!!
