Good morning & happy Monday, everyone!
I am so excited to be working with CVS Pharmacy again, and I look forward to sharing some excellent store features throughout the year. As you all know, I’m a CVS addict. Their products are always popping up in my blogs, and visiting the stores has become a weekly thing. I also get super excited when readers tag me in their CVS pics or fall in love with some of the same products I’ve shared.
A couple of months ago, I had the opportunity to visit a CVS event in NYC. I learned so much about the stores that I left blown away and so impressed. CVS is working so hard to center their products around what their customers want, and need. They truly listen to their customer’s feedback and make changes. I love how genuine this company is, and that is why I am such a fan.
After learning the tips and tricks to save money on all of my favorites products, it got me thinking. I should be sharing more tips for my readers. Snacks are important, but saving money on those things is even better. If my readers could benefit from all of the money and time-saving tips, then that’ll make me happy!
For the remainder of the year, I will be sharing all of the hidden and helpful features CVS has to offer! Today, I’ll be blogging about the CVS Pharmacy App, and guys, you need this.
The CVS Pharmacy App has so many cool features. If you go to CVS often, it’s so important to have this app. There are exclusive app-only offers for the ExtraCare Rewards program that you can use on your purchases in the stores or online. You can manage your prescriptions, order photos from your phone, and even shop from the app!
Here are some of my favorite features…
Photo Center: I have to start with the photo center. This is probably one of my favorite features because I love photography. It is so easy to get same-day prints with the app. You can choose photos from your albums or Facebook to print, and they’ll be ready for store pickup within a few hours! How cool is that? This is so helpful for last minute gifts. The other day, I had to buy a last minute gift for a friend. I used the app to select a few imagines from Facebook for same day print, bought some frames, a gift bag, and card at the pharmacy, picked up the prints, and I was set! The convenience is what I love.
Shop Online & Take Advantage of the Deals & Rewards!
You can shop for all of your favorite products right on the app. The best part about shopping through the app is that you can browse the exclusive coupons and make sure you’re getting the best deals on your purchases. Today, shipping is free with their app-only coupon code + 25% off regular prices, and I’m totally going to take advantage of that. You can browse vitamins, skin care, beauty products, health & medicine, personal care, and more! I’m a big fan of their BOGO deals. I love saving money by using BOGO on my vitamins. The app has the Curbside pickup feature (which I’ll be blogging about soon), two-day delivery on purchases, and a lot of products that you can’t find in the stores. If you find yourself ordering the same products constantly, you can use the “reorder” feature. It’ll reorder past in-store and online purchases for you.
I love that the app sends me personalized deals that match my purchase history. They’re sent straight to my ExtraCare rewards card so I can use them instantly. No more coupon clipping! Just by using my Extra Care Rewards card yesterday, I unlocked $3.00 off my next purchase. When you go to the app, click on ExtraCare to explore all of your deals. You can also browse the “myWeekly Ad” for weekly offers, ExtraCare savings, and sales on your favorite items. I saved money on some Gold Emblem snacks and sunscreen before going to the river to float over the weekend because of the Weekly Ad!
Store Locator: The store locator is important! It locates stores closest to you, finds stores that offer curbside pickup, and the closest stores for the photo center. I use the store locator every time I’m traveling. I used it in D.C. while visiting my brother, in NYC to pick up snacks before my half marathon, and on all of my road trips. It makes life so much easier. Once you locate a store, you can check the local store deals before you shop by visiting their weekly ad.
Pharmacy: I’m not a parent, but I talked with a lot of mom’s at the event that said the pharmacy feature on the app is life changing. You can manage your entire family’s prescriptions straight from the app, make appointments for the minute clinic, transfer prescriptions to a local CVS Pharmacy, set reminders for medication, check all of the drug facts, and it even makes your visit super private. If you feel like you have the wrong medicine, you can use the “Identify Pills” feature. You just type in the shape, color, or imprint to verify your medication. You can check to see if your insurance is accepted, pay your bills, browse the minute clinic services, and so much more!
No matter where you are this summer, you can always take the CVS Pharmacy App with you!:) I hope this post has helped you when it comes to saving time and money at CVS! Don’t forget to download the app and ake advantage of everything it offers! There is no reason to be spending extra money when you don’t have to!
Questions for you!

I sure wish we had CVS here in Canada!
But in Hong Kong you at least have social media, whereas everything in China is blocked. xD

You’ve introduced us to some awesome stuff for CVS! I luckily have one right down the road from me which I’m now realizing how awesome that is!

I’m blessed living 2 miles from one 🙂 Seriously the best!

Oh yes, I love the CVS app. I do not use it so much for buying food items but I love the photo and pharmacy portions of the app. I’m like you with pictures, I’ve been waiting in the airport to come home from a trip and had my pictures printed out at my local CVS. So by the time I landed and was driving home my prints were ready. The pharmacy portion is awesome and i’m liking the pay scanner they have, where i can press the button and the payment will automatically come out of the account i set up with the CVS app and all i have to do is give the barcode to the pharmacist and my prescription is ready.
Taralynn McNitt says
HAHAHA YES I do the same!! I like to order them while I’m waiting at the terminals. YES, the prescription feature is amazing. I used it for the first time last month and I was really happy with it!

I wish there was a CVS in my town! The only one is inside target… and that doesn’t even count! We only have a Walgreens *sad face* because they don’t have nearly as many options as CVS does when it comes to healthy snacks and wholesome products! I’m hoping I can start using the one by my work more often. 🙂 And apps are so great! I LOVE saving money and it’s so convenient that you can do it all on your phone!
Taralynn McNitt says
Oh nooooo 🙁 But at least they are usually located in places you visit or vacation!
The app is so amazing for saving! Especially since i go in there all the time 😉
Anna says
Wow! I go to CVS all the time. My work is located right next door and I cannot believe I haven’t heard about the app!

Taralynn McNitt says
Yes and it’s amazing! You don’t need to get coupons in the mail if you use the app 🙂

ha! Funny story, I was recently on a tangent about CVS to one of my friends who is from Charlotte. I was telling him that the stores are always dark and depressing, dirty looking, etc. but he told me the ones in Charlotte are really nice. Must be a regional thing!
Taralynn McNitt says
Girl, the ones here are SO SO SO NICE!!! I think they are making changes in all of the stores, so I have no doubt yours will be making changes soon.
